What I don't understand is why people think CB is dead. I hear traffic on my CB every single day. Also, no license is required. FCC is pushing GMRS due to the fact you have to pay for the license and people are gobbling it up like it's free candy. I have HAM, CB and GMRS in my JT. I get nothing on the GMRS unless my kids want to get on it and talk. Jeep Meets and others have fallen for the switcharoo. I admit I have one but only due to the fact I have almost all other FCC licenses so why not? If you want good comms, HAM will never be beat regardless what the naysayers keep saying. "I don't want to take a test", "HAM guys are think they know everything", or "HAM is for nerds". HAM is a hobby and fun for us HAMs and we don't care what the others think. As for CB, long live the AM bands.
