I'd go over that with a good water spot remover and then claybar.Would you think that doing it would fix this? This picture is post hand wash…

Once it's cleaned up then you can see about buffing any scratches out with a good polishing compound.
I've never had a professional coating done, but I do my own full detail once a year and finish with a couple of coats of Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions. An occasional hand wash, but mostly just rinses keep it looking great and hydrophobic until I do it again in the late winter or Spring.
