I bought my Gladiator June of 2020 and within the first 2,000 miles the auto start/stop warning light was coming on. Since then, the check engine & ass warning lights come on nearly every single time I start it up. It has been I. The shop numerous times and once they even had it for 4 weeks! They have replaced both batteries, cam shaft sensor and a couple of other parts! The service manager said I should trade it in, I have been working with Jeep cares for over 6 months! They referred me to a 3rd party arbitrator and the case was last week but we didn’t win because he said it’s drivable! It’s on now and going back to the shop tomorrow but I have called Jeep cares 3 days in a row & they will not call me back, the person I talked to today said I should be able to get a call back same day and she was emailing higher up managers to call me… guess what! Still no call back! I think Jeep should make this right, I should not have to worry that my 1 year old vehicle is going to break down literally every time I drive it! And advice?

Lemon law............. go to Google and type in "lemon law Arkansas"

So that person said it's ok to ignore a MIL on the dash? Because it runs and you can drive it, it's ok if we ignore warning lights. Well, that's great to know! Next time I get in a vehicle and a warning light comes on, as long as it moves, I'll just ignore the light.
Sorry, that person was an idiot.

Mine is in the shop with 1200 miles, same issue misfire with Engine Light and Auto Stop Start, they are already looking at replacing the CAM. Tell them to implement the Service Bulletin attached that they should have looked up already and if not fixed, take it to another dealer. This is disheartening and disappointing. My first Jeep as well! I won't continue with fixes if not corrected. This is poor Quality and Management. I bought the Jeep July 21st, 2021 traded in My Nissan Titan and put down $$$. I have lost confidence already in reading this problem in several forum threads.
Do I need to open a case? Feel like to protect myself I would need to. I’ve owned at least 10 new cars in my life. Never seen or heard of anything like this. @JeepCares

When my ESS light came on and the system failed, the dealer had mine for 2 or 3 weeks. They finally contacted FCA and an engineer there walked them through how to fix it. They had to do a "relearn" procedure on the system, which required several drive cycles and particular programming. After that, never had an issue again.

Your problem may be different, but I would suggest going to a different dealership to see if you can get another opinion.

When I took mine in for other work, they said my VIN popped up for a PCM flash - apparently they had changed the software to resolve some misfire issues, whatever.
This line is likely why mine was flagged -
>> If a customer’s VIN is listed in VIP or your RRT VIN list, perform the repair<<
MPG dropped a bit and didn't really recover and the transmission shifted GREAT for a while - it stayed out of 8th a lot more and didn't hunt so much. Sadly, that went right back to its lame ways of shifting. Too bad, for a few weeks I really loved how it shifted, now it shifts too early and too much again.

Looks like the PCM flash is to be done if certain conditions are met - and the flash AND right intake cam replaced if other criteria are met.
This has been out there for a year or more - odd that the OP's dealer doesn't read their communications from Jeep, or their TSBs or other such things or they'd at least be replacing parts by now if not at least doing the flash.
Heck, I got the flash and didn't even had an issue!

Will do! Called service today, parts on order to replace the CAM. The Cam was rusted is what they said. How? What is going ON?

Are these cams parkerized like others? I wonder what sort of treatment they get.
Rust isn't an issue unless it's on the lobes/base circle or the bearing area - BUT - it shouldn't be there at all.
I have a couple of cams sitting on my shelves now that have been there for at least 10 years - not a lick of rust on them.

No idea! I have lost trust and confidence. I am seeing a trend throughout this forum of several Eng Light, MIsfire and ASS lights. I hope they fix the problem. This is just so disappointing.

Bad O2sensor, vacuum pump, or hose in the brake lines—typical for case of the ASS issues.
