Okay. Not sure I see your point here, but report back the code when you get a chance. Until then, there's not much we can do to help.Haven't got that far. First new vehicle in 35 years of buying new vehicles that threw a code in less than 500 miles.
No I understand. Just a little frustrated. Paid 50 grand for a vehicle and it already has a check engine light. That's my point. Just checking to see if this is common after washing. That's all.Okay. Of course not. We ford water after all. And, you know, drive in the rain.No I understand. Just a little frustrated. Paid 50 grand for a vehicle and it already has a check engine light. That's my point. Just checking to see if this is common after washing. That's all.
Thanks ? I'll try that!First things first, probably has nothing to do with washing the JT.
If you haven't already, push down on EVERY fuse and relay in the fuse box. Fuse box is under hood, on passenger side, against the firewall. Factory has a habit of not getting them seated. Don't know if it's a robot or a human putting them all in.
If that doesn't fix the problem, take it to the dealer and let them sort it out.
Doesn't matter how much you paid or how new it is, some new vehicles just have problems. Every manufacturer has issues, no matter what their fan boys have to say.
So when you tighten it does the lightNot sure if you got the answer but I have a Texas trail too and it’s been the loose gas cap. I found that you have to tighten it then click it at least 3 times. My usually commute consist of a loose gravel/kaliche rock road. So the recommended “twist to click” doesn’t work for this situation lol of course get it checked out if it doesn’t go away. Have a great day!!

yes Sir, it goes off after a couple of more trips. At first I thought it was bad gas. But it ended up being the gas cap Plus the gladiator feels great going done rocky roads sometimes it’s easy to forget how fast it’s going. Anyways. Yes the check engine light turned off.So when you tighten it does the light

Heck I drove several miles with the cap OFF and it never complained! In fact, my 2020 never had a CEL - gas cap off or on.If you run the code on a loose gas cap cel, what will it show? Something related to the evap. system maybe?
