I need to replace mine... Its pretty nasty. Probably just stick with Mopar or Wix (which makes Mopar as far as I can tell). Any other better options?

Not the K&N thou...I am firmly in the reusable filters are snake oil camp :)

Misfire on the previo email. Thanks to Kevman64 for starting this thread. 13,400 on this filer. Not particularly dirty around here. Wouldn’t have checked it this early is it wasnā€˜t for the author’s heads-up. Yep, definitely check it. Super easy to replace.

Wow. 30 second job. How do they justify that? And I’m the one that would ask them. Crooks.

The local dealer will do it only for the cost of a filter as part of other maintenance like oil change, etc. It's so easy my wife said I should order one for her Jeep and mine and change them more often once I showed her how bad mine was.

Changed mine last week with a wix, 9500 miles and not too bad at all. I can see if someone is doing major dust trails and whatnot but mine just slightly dirty. Either way glad I changed it, took a minute.

At the risk of sounding like an idiot, make sure you order two. I recently changed mine ordering only one, only to realize after pulling the panel that it takes two stacked side by side. Mine were pretty dusty at 20k miles, see pic.

UPDATED: It appears to be diesel specific. The mopar parts site I grabbed it from shows it is engine specific but I had no idea at the time of order that I'd need two. I ordered before pulling the actual panel. Lesson learned hah.

Nice that the factory filters are carbon infused. New filter (still waiting on second) is dark gray and if compared to a pure white aftermarket filter, would appear disgustingly dirty but it isn’t.

How can you fit two in there? There was only one in my filter box.

Really? Wow, I wonder if it’s a kooky diesel thing. Part number for mine is accurate, in fact the one on the right is the new one (still waiting on second). I’ll grab another shot, I might still have the packaging.

I have a gas engine, which explains why there's only 1.
