The flop is within the single plane joint, it doesn't causes unresponsive or off center steering wheel. It's just annoying. Just makes sure to tighten the clamp bolts with the bar in the drooped down position and the bend pointing forward. And also making sure the ball joint at the knuckle are square with the knuckle, as it can rub on the dust boot.
So with the bar drooped down fasten and then droop up fastened?

Just have the bar pointing forward and the knuckle side joint square with the knuckle mounting surface once tighten both clamp bolts.

So I figured I would add to this thread.
I received my hellwig rear sway bar for my 22 JT.
Came with some cheap powder coated flat brackets to help the stress on the sway bar end link frame brackets. Very unexpected since none of the sites i saw the swaybar advertisement mentioned these reinforcement braxkets comes with the sway bar now. With those came m12x1.5x80 mm bolts which should be perfect since I have metal cloak rear reinforcement brackets arriving soon too.
So this will correct the short 56mm m12 bolts that my JT has also. Barely comes thru the threaded barrel nut. Just the unthreaded end shows.
The hellwig brackets were a nice gesture but only 1 bolt fasting point to frame instead of two. Cheesy powder coated black. Pretty sure I'm going to like the multiple mounting location of the Metal cloak brackets much better.
Will report back once I get my MC delivery and install both these items.
Good day

I recently installed the Metalcloak brackets. Their bolts were a little shorter than the longer ones I bought at the start of this thread, so I stuck with the longer ones and the extra nylock nut on the back side.

The m12 x1.5 bolts are 80 mm long , they came with my hellwig sway bar. Surprised they had a little reinforcement bracket in their kit now. Was not advertised that way on extreme terrain, will not be using it. Only fastens to frame with the one 1/4Ă—20 bolt for the brack that bolts to the mount. No thanks ...
The metal cloak brkt looks and has to be much stronger. Will be painting the MC brackets on Sunday to get ready for install.
I got a couple m12x 1.5 nuts from work .

These are the brackets that came with my sway bar from hellwig .

I used these bolts
Amazon.com: Omix-Ada Bolt, Shock to Axle, M12-1.5X70, 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK : Automotive
with flanged nuts and the stock pressed nuts in the factory bracket
Amazon.com: 5 M12-1.5 Hexagon Flange Nut - Non-Serrated Class 8 Zinc. DIN 6923 / ISO 4161 : Industrial & Scientific

You will have to put the nuts in place before fully threading the bolts into the factory pressed nuts as clearance to the frame is snug.

On my frame, I put a 0.10" thick washer behind one of the two mounting points of the Metal Cloak bracket on each side to position it correctly against the factory sway bar bracket. I used grade 12.9 Allen bolts into the frame instead of the factory grade 8.8 M8x1.25 bolts.

Note, at least on a computer screen in a browser, there's a post number.
Jeep Gladiator Check Your Rear Stabilizer Frame Bracket Bolts - Mopar New Bolt Length 1725745266983-9n

Click on that number and the URL in the browser will change to reflect a link to that specific post.
Highlight the url in the browser, do a CTRL-C for copy, then go to where you want to put the link to that exact specific post and do CTRL-V for paste.

https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...par-new-bolt-length.57878/page-7#post-1302258

With luck, this link will take someone directly to post 96 in this thread, which is forum post number 1302258, (likely most of that number are mine.........)

i very rarely use my phone for forums - the tremors in my hands have gotten so bad I can't use a touch screen. Some are now saying maybe it's not just the drugs/new meds, but perhaps covid related, although I've never had covid and always test negative for it.
I can't even thread the handles into the joystick areas of my drone controller these days, I can barely hold them, let alone get the threads started. Takes several tries and I drop them a time or two. Oh, well, I've live 100 years of a lifetime in these 67 years, like a fast fuse, I guess, gonna burn out early.
But my cell phone is pretty much for phone calls, useless otherwise.

I installed some spacers (M8, 1/2”) and used M8 1.25x50 flanged head bolts to install my rear Metal Cloak sway bar reinforcement brackets. I have the RocBlokz mudflaps.
