Going to check on one on the lot. Its actually built almost exactly as I would order. Only thing I probly wouldnt have ordered is the Gorilla glass.

This info is according to the sticker...

22 Rubi 48025
granite 395
Tow Pkg 645
Cold wthr / Remote 1145
Auto 2000
Gorilla 495
hardtop 1695
satin grl 195
wheels 1095
bedliner 525
total 56215
w/dc 57810

So I tried to use the pricing invoice spreadsheet in the sticky, but its for last years model. So I had to guestimate a little bit. I came up with invoice being around 3200 less than the total....right around 54600. They are asking 50900. Which If Im calculating this right, is just under 7% below invoice. Thats with a Chrysler $1000 and Gladiator $1000 bonus cash backs. But it looks like most of the discount is thru the dealer.
My question is am I calculating this right? It seems like Im missing something here.

I admit most of my vehicle buying experience has been used, so totally different negotiation tactics. Only thing ever bought new was my bike and a tractor....lol.
Thanks for any insight guys. Greatly appreciated.
What happened? Are you driving it yet?

Imo that’s a great deal in today’s market. I’d jump all over it if it’s close to what you’re looking for.

Turns out that online price is not the "true" price. Apparently this is one of those dealers who lure you in with an E-price which is much lower than anyone else. Then once your there, they hit you with the real price. I even called on the phone to confirm that the online price was legit. It is not.
For one, my trade in offer was significantly lower than expected. By a few thousand. Im not going to get into the numbers with that, but I did my research thoroughly and know what my trade is worth via private, trade in, carmax, etc. Even with trade in tax savings, and some negotiation, it was lower.
Onto the online price, the factory Jeep cash back incentives are legit. The dealer incentives are not. They are contingent on a bunch of BS that is not listed anywhere. I was able to squash some of that BS and negotiate to a lower price, but nowhere near the online price or what Id be comfortable with. This was the best it was going to get as I had to walk out twice in order to get to this price alone.
As far as financing, I didnt need it as I would just pay cash for the difference. But, some of their hidden bonuses were contingent on gettting financing thru them. I figured why not as I could reap the benefits of the bonuses and just pay off the balance in full when the first note comes. So even though their rates wouldnt really matter to me, they were ridiculously high. Just further proof of whats really going on at this stealership.
Im a fairly tough negotiator. Been doing it for years on used vehicles. I dont get strongarmed and have no problem walking if the deal isnt right. Even though I basically won the negotiations in all 3 phases, the final tally was still well off from what was listed.
This dealers deceptive online advertised pricing and overall practices are what killed the deal from the get go.
Since Im in no way desperate for a new vehicle, I have plenty of time to find the deal that suits me.
Thanks for the help fellas. Happy EASTER!!!

Sorry to hear, but good for you for walking. These dealers should lose business for not being transparent.

I figured that price was to good to be true. I haven't even seen a stick shift sell for that cheap new. Cheapest I've saw one within 400 miles of me was around $54,000 and that was with a Military discount and another discount. I agree that these dealers are wrong for putting deceptive pricing just to lure someone to the dealership.

Well that sucks, but unfortunately is not surprising....
It's a huge problem especially when your traveling a couple hrs to see a specific model they have on their website only to arrive to find out they Don't have that model at all, it's not for sale, it's a customer order, or the price is NOT anywhere near what's listed... So infuriating!!
When did the dealership experience get this way - and why is it the norm??? (Shouting at the wall :) )

I went through this bs everyday for a couple weeks. I was searching the lower 48 and every single one was no where near the advertised price. $1200 for fabric protection, $400 nitrogen filled tires lol, you name it they make up some bs to add fees. id Call on a sport s advertised for $40k and it’d be $48k before tax was even added. that Was before I found this forum about gupton. Ordered a rubicon with exactly what I wanted for I think $51 and some change. They literally advertise price with all incentives and none of the fees. Should be illegal

Join Costco. It’s $50 for the basic membership. Go to the car buying program website. Find an affiliate dealer. It might be a hike (I had to drive close to two hours), but it was worth it. The price was what I was given ahead of time on the emailed cost breakdown.

Yeah…you might be able to find a lower price somewhere, but what is your time worth to you?

My 2021 JTR bought on Dec 3, MSRP $60735, price for me was $53500 (and would have been $1k cheaper if I had bought it in Nov).

Prices really have gone up. This is my window sticker today (still waiting for delivery). I am getting the Tread Lightly discount of 1% though. I vacillated for a year wanting a few years of production, so I pay.

That's mainly the way it worked at my dealer (delivery this week or next). The online price was about 800 less than the VON price, but I'm getting the Tread Lightly 1% and already put down $500. I'm paying cash too. I'm selling my 2018 Tacoma TRD Pro for the original invoice, $2000 less than I paid for it in 2018.
