Clayton 2.5 vs Teraflex 2.5/3.5

Looking to swap out my 2.5" Clayton springs for Teraflex. Wondering if anyone's done side by side on these or has pre and post measurements on either Teraflex option.

Clayton springs run really tall so not sure if I should be looking at the 2.5 or 3.5 from Teraflex.

Why do you want to change your Claytons? I I’m on the fence between Clayton and Teraflex springs to level out my Jt. The Clayton springs have a higher spring rate 188lb/in In the front. And the Teraflex are a duel rate 110/140.

More interested in the ride quality, if it's softer than the Claytons or what. Lift height can be sorted by the various height springs.

If this is mainly about ride, what are you running for shocks?

I went with the adjustable Falcon shocks so I can dial in the softness of the ride. We are slow drivers so I’m expecting it will be in soft most of the time.

Installed them this December. Will have off road opinions shortly as everything is melting and drying up.

The "Atari Cartridge" sits under my driver seat. If the wiring snaps, it defaults to firm. But I feel good about where I mounted my wires. I'll check them after the first big wheeling trip this spring and know more. I do love flipping from soft to firm with a button.

They sell replacement units for the sp2s should anything happen. You can even downgrade to the 3.3 adjusters if you wanted. Likewise you can upgrade. That said the wiring is out of the way and shouldn’t take any abuse I have no worries about issues with the wiring.

Oh and I have a TF 4.5 lift kit and have run the Falcon 3.5s and Fox 2.0. The shocks make a lot more difference in how it feels. The Fox were very cushy not very firm. The Falcons I twisted to firm then I run the firm setting 6/10. Its quite a difference from the Fox. Feels more like the coilovers on my German car than a cushy truck. With 4.5 inch lift is planted taking corners. Even switching to soft it is firmer than the Fox were but does dampen a lot of the road feel. I reckon if I take them off I will twist to soft and see how that feels. Talked with a TF guy at EJS who said run the soft rate then set firm to 10/10 and see how I like it.

The idea of a German sports car is the opposite of what I'm looking for personally. I won't drive the truck that way ever, would much prefer a controlled cushy ride like a dessert runner
