2020 with auto climate control. The air flow out of the vents increases with vehicle speed or outside wind speed. It’s like a ram air effect, the flow out of the vents is independent of the fan speed. If I turn on recirculate it drops down to where it should be. Anyone else have this happen?

I get higher air flow with recirculate off, but always run with it on to minimize intake of outside air. I would imagine at high enough speeds the airflow will exceed the fan setting with recirculate off.

Ram air increasing with speed is normal and expected with the design of the Jeep body. Sometimes vehicles have a negative pressure at the cowl where the air goes in during development, which is corrected during wind tunnel testing. Image air being sucked out of the HVAC; that would be terrible, and it the HVAC wouldn’t work!

Some vehicles have ram air control with a door at the HVAC inlet. The door position changes based on vehicle speed, pressure sensor, blower motor current, or some other metric developed by the manufacture.
With a Jeep, you just take the top off.
