Happens at any mileage.That's the code I got when my CEL came up.
Not happy about that. No warranty, 70 K miles. Dealer says he has to inspect the camshaft, timing components etc.
I have a feeling it won't be cheap.
At this mileage is this common ?? TIA
Not very good. That's why they call it the "Pentastar tick." My camshafts went bad due to poor oiling.A worn down lobe on the camshaft causing the misfire I was told by the dealer. What kind of engineering is that !!??
Exactly agree and also add again OP look at the camshaft position sensors and High lift solenoid sensors.Sounds more like a phaser or timing chain issue than a cam lobe. Would have expected a P03XX type misfire codes if cam lobe related.
