For Warranty corrosion work, you are entitled to “alternate transportation”, its part of the coverage. Thats what you need to say, not “rental”. I would like to arrange “alternate transportation”. It’s not provided by the dealer, you pay out of pocket and corporate reimburses you. Just make sure you get the verbal over the phone authorizing “alternate transportation”. Your dealer does not cover that for you unless it’s their own internal policy/courtesy car/ etc.

This scares me. I took my '21 in before the warranty expired and the dealership told me to take it to local body shop for estimate. Well long story short, the body shop refused to do the work and I was eventually sent to another body shop for an estimate. They submitted the estimate and said it would be a repair not a replace of the panels. I'm now 9 months beyond the warranty and the dealership has told me repeatedly that I'm still good. My dealership says it's submitted and waiting for approval from Chrysler. Chrysler is, according the to service shop rep, pushing back on it. SOOOO I'm waiting....... The other question I have is do they cover the decal removal and replacements? I've got the hood and jeep name and the fenders oh and my BOH badges too....

Hope it gets approved for you. I had to have my hood replaced and they did not cover any of the new decals. When I picked it up it had a solid white hood on it. I had to replace all the decals I had on my hood. I didn't have any factory decals though so if it is a stock decals you would have a better case for them to replace them as part of the repair. In my case I needed to remove the decals anyways since they were old and starting to come off so I didn't mind it not having them on when I picked it up.

They replaced the Rubicon factory decals and the LineX coating on my tailgate. Wasn't even a question, they just did it. I think any dealer would restore it the way it came from the factory or the way it was received ( decal delete). Any thing added would be on the owner.

I wasn't exactly thrilled with my warranty repair service. The time it took was far too long. The paint itself was far better than factory. The color matched so that was a plus.

Update on my situation:

Had the repairs completed at Charlie's Dodge under warranty. Took about 2 weeks from drop off to pick up. Took 40 days from the RO being opened to the job being done. Very good experience with this dealer. They made it easy with a loaner and quick turnaround from scheduling to completion.

Parts replaced:

Tailgate
Tailgate spoiler
All (8) door hinges
Hood
Emission label under hood

They did not replace the doors. They said Jeep doesn't do that anymore.
