Dana 44 Axle Question

Doing more research before getting the jeep regeared. I want to stick with the Dana spicer gears, more than likely the 4.88….here’s the question…. or questions I should say.
What are the AdvanTek axles or gears?
What is the difference between AdvanTek and Non AdvanTek?
How do I know which ones I have or need?

All of the JTs have Dana Advantek axles. They are just the newer generation.

Absolutely correct. Rubicons, Mojave’s, and max tow versions have wider axles, but all are advantek

Good luck getting Dana spicer 4.88 gears. I looked a couple weeks ago and they were 35 weeks out. Ended up getting yukons.

Good luck with them, some have had problems with them. Not trying to bag on them, I believe I got gears from them for a old-school D44 and D30.

And the odd ball High Altitude has wide axles.
