New here so not sure where to post. Have a 23 Rubicon with 1900 miles and after stopping to run into store came back out and my fob does not work to open doors, dash is flickering and will not start. I will try to upload a video.

Right on the money. Auxiliary battery. Dealership talked my wife through how to bypass it and started right up. Would it void my warranty if I deleted that battery all together?

A 2023 with only 1900 miles hasn't seen a lot of charging time. You probably have a warranty to cover this. They may charge you up and send you on your way, if they test the batteries good. Without knowing your capabilities, it's hard to say what you should do. A safe bet would be, take it to the dealer. Now if you mess with it and cause more problems, you could be on the hook for some of the expense.

If you want to charge it yourself, do a little research before throwing any old charger on it. Do not wing it. Know what you are doing first.

Read up on that subject thoroughly! The Aux Battery most likely wasn't the problem. It was the lack of charging. Keeping only the main battery and driving it like you do, I'm afraid you will end up with a dead main.

Yes, you aux was dead, but the root cause was lack if charging.

Yes short answer.

AGM charger main + and Main - .

Use the top plate not the main - battery post.

Just pull the battery cable and the fuse, get rid of the aux and get a tazer or something to eliminate the stop start. If you do it that way you can keep warranty as all you have to do is reconnect the battery cable and put the fuse back in.

If you were getting the dash freakout most likely your 12v main is also on the way out, but you might still have some life left.

He doesn't drive it nearly enough to solve his issue. He will end up plugging it in like an EV. His issue is not an ESS or Aux battery problem.

What was the procedure the dealership had your wife do?

Sorry my bad, it is 19000. Hard to tell with the dash flickering. Bought it used to us and it is not our main DD. Not sure what they told her to do but gonna make an appointment to have it looked at with the dealership. Thanks everyone for all the help.

Your symptoms seemed more like a blown N3 fuse than a bad battery, that's why I asked about the procedure. Let us know what you find out at the dealer.
