Really love the Diamondback HD and I'm seriously considering getting it. My only concern is getting an RTT and not being able to use the DB HD as intended. I'm curious, of those who are running the DB HD, what is your setup? Have you installed an RTT? Would love to see pictures.

Love my diamondback although I never plan to do a RTT.

I will say if I ever got a rack considering most don't work with the DB, it would be the chassis unlimited Thorax rack. It connects to the anchors of the DB as opposed to the bad sides. Therefore you can still open the covers. It is limited and you can only do one at a time but it's better than nothing.

These pics are from another user on here (forget their name) but I had saved them awhile back. He has both length and swaps between them which is why the height is different. Just to show as an example

When I was considering a tonneau/RTT combo, this was the exact setup I was going to go with, but after adding up the total cost of everything I just decided to go with a canopy shell.

I have the frontrunner jeep gladiator basket attached to rails on top of the DB, along with frontrunner's Trax boards/toto mounts.

Unfortunately I've have not figured out a way to open the DB doors with the basket on (much less than with the RTT on). But for me the DB was more about security than the opening top.

Before I put on the basket etc, I would flip open one side of the DB for higher items. But as easy as it is to just remove the whole thing, I mostly just did that. Even now with the basket and rtt, it is still just the 4 clamps and the whole thing can be hoisted off the truck.

PS- I remove the RTT when not in use, but I leave the basket and everything else on. I have a cell boost antenna mounted to the basket which makes it more of a process to remove.

I should say the RTT isn't the easiest to set up with the Trax boards and Rotopax on. It is hard to unzip the cover. A hard shell would probably work better.

I also have my rtt opening over the rear. I had this way before the trax/rotopax, but now is necessary.

Looks great! Any reason you didn't go with the Front Runner rack system instead?
