So myself, two guys I've met once, and a group of Jeep people I had never met all went wheeling at Uwharrie on Saturday. We had a great time and I checked a box off in the Badges list. I have done those trails dozens of times over the years but never in anything so long. That YJ wasn't part of our group but flipped right in front of us. No one hurt and only minor damage. Sorry for the chopped up videos. My son was filming and tried to keep them short for upload.

Love the red 2a. The YJ's flop looks like driver error, he tried to climb the side of the trail? Dumb.... They don't want anyone going off the trails in URE, looks like he was trying to do something he shouldn't.

Yeah, I'm still not sure why he was where he was. His money, his mistake. At least no one was hurt and the rig drove away. We were coming at him so maybe he was trying to give us room but the spot he flipped was plenty wide for two-way traffic.

Gunlovebirds, we should get together and run URE sometime. It would be neat not to be the only long rig on the trail.

I never knew the name of the trail I was on but it was that one. I drove it the opposite direction in my ā€˜18 JLUS with Rubicon springs. Dragged bottom everywhere because it had been raining and a bunch of UTVs were tearing deep holes. It was fun! I think Iā€™ll wait for lift, bigger tires, and rock rails before I crush my Gladiatorā€™s rocker panels. Iā€™m sure it could be done with full skid plates and rails but it would drag itā€™s bottom like a dog with worms.

Yeah it came about a week and a half ago. I struggled a bit trying to decide where to put it but in the end I just stuck it under the trail rated badge on the driver's side.

I put mine on the drivers side right above ā€œJeepā€. Going to start a line up f them and go up. Measuring I should be able to fit four wide if they are touching side to side.

Paul could you tell me your set up when you ran the trail? I mean where you in 4 low or high? Can/did you lock your axles? Tire pressure etc.
Thanks.

So when I did Dickey Bell I was on 315/70/17 tires and Rubicon suspension with no lift. Because I didn't have any lift I elected to run the tires at street pressure to keep the belly as high as possible. It was dry and traction wasn't an issue. Always in 4L unless you're on a dirt road or sand. I have open differentials on both ends so no lockers or LSD, just the BLD working and keeping all 4 wheels down as much as possible. I did unhook the sway bar links though, that's almost a requirement on uneven terrain.

We ran Dickey and the rest of the trails today in our JLR. We did not go down the far side of Daniel, but really I do not think it would be hard if you did the sneak. Watching guys in built Wranglers come up the tough sections made us pass.

We will run them in the JTM tomorrow.
