Both played a factor in my decision. Even with my manual transmission, it has a better tow capacity than a Wrangler and the bed is just nice to have. We talked about getting a Wrangler and just using a utility trailer if we needed to haul some stuff, but the bed is just so much more convenient.

Neither The towing capacity nor the bed were specific reasons. Every truck has both of those. It was more the total package of being a jeep that has those things.

Jeep with a bed. I wanted a mid size truck and I felt the Jeep had a bit more character than the others.

Upgraded from a 2017 JK Sahara. 3 reason

1.) longer wheel base = smoother ride
2.) improved Towing
3.) Bed Space

first time towing with a pop up camper last weekend and it was a huge difference. Return trip had a wind advisory. No issues. It was easy to forget that the pop up was being towed. With the Wrangler, every time you hit a bump on the highway, your reminded that the pop up is behind you for a few seconds.

Initially, a good (very cool looking) mid-sized pick-em-up truck. After my Father (whom I was taking care of for the past two years) passed away back in November, I decided that I wanted to be able to see more of this beautiful country of ours but, sleep where I knew it was clean and germ free so now it's also a tow vehicle. I did order it with the tow package anyways as sometimes a tow for a utility trailer now and again comes in handy. Now it tows a 27' travel trailer very nicely.

Had a jeep truck when I was sixteen so when they came out this one had to have. But here in St George Utah it nice to have both tow a travel trailer to a RV site then go out and spend the day heaving fun the bed comes in handy for the dog ? not enough room in the back seat for him 130 lb Germany Shepard so the dog would say bed I say both

Towing. I think a 5 foot bed is largely useless and not really sure how much towing I'll actually do, but figured if I wanted to haul more than the bed will hold, I can add a trailer.

This is our first jeep ever and having only ever owned trucks for the purpose of towing and bed use. This was our safest transition to the jeep world. We got the tow package for the just in case. Otherwise I have another truck for towing since we’re big boaters too. The jeep won’t tow my 8k lb center console or my 10k Lb. Donzi.

I use it for both, and it does great! I have not had a DD in a long time that has been this pratical and fun. I still look forward to hopping in the drivers seat. It is breaking in like the perfect pair of Jeans.

You don't give a choice for both which is silly because so many people who have trucks have them because they require BOTH.
I tow - but need the bed space WHEN I tow. Can't stow all my gear and parts on the car hauler.
If it didn't have both, I would not even have it, I'd still have my Silverado.
Trucks often are not an "either/or".
Look at the guys who have travel trailers - the beds are often full of other stuff, too.
It's a truck made by Jeep in the image of Jeep.
Trucks tow and have beds.
If you only tow - a Grand Cherokee will out-tow many Gladiators.

Our JTR was the replacement for our Cherokee Trailhawk, specifically because this tows well on steep pitch off-road trails. The Cherokee’s tranny got angry. This one does it easily. The bed ended up being the bonus, but we initially missed the rear hatch for the dog. Works fine now with soft topper. The dog goes in the JLU mostly though. It’s a camping rig, that we also use as my daily driver.

I got mine for towing, but the bed is a nice addition I can and will certainly utilize.
I was originally shopping for a Wrangler, but the only nice one I liked was a manual, so I had to pass as the wife preferred the auto.
