I'm having difficulty inputting addresses into the navigation system. It's so clunky and removes letters and numbers instead of just allowing a full address and then going to it. Is that normal or is it because I don't subscribe to Uconnect? It seems ok in Texas where I live but fights me when i try add an address to in another state.

I haven't had this issue with mine at all. But I never use it to type in the address. I either already have it entered in on my phone before connecting to the Jeep, or I've forgot to do so entirely beforehand, and end up using the voice function while I'm driving

In theory, it drops the letters that are not possible to be next.
Yes, it is a PITA.

I used the built-in NAV a lot when I first bought the truck (a little over three years ago). It works fairly well for a factory NAV system. If I remember correctly, entering the destination City first and then the address makes the process easier. After a while, I switched to Google Maps using Android Auto and that functions much better. It is nice to have a working alternative if I end up in an area with no data connection for the phone.

The Gladiator NAV works just with GPS, so, no cell phone signal required. This comes in handy off-road and in the mountains where there is usually no cell phone reception.

I've found the feature in which it drops non-existent letters & numbers to be very helpful and to speed the input of addresses.
