I know this sounds odd but has anyone been experiencing a type of film on the inside windows? I clean the windows and they are fine for a day or so then it appears again. It's very noticeable at night with the glare of lights. It happens year around. My thoughts are it's something coming from the heat/ac vents but not sure. Any thoughts? It's a 2021 and has happened since new.

Happens to all then new vehicles. That film is caused by off gassing of the polyethylene interior trim. The off gassing will subside with age but to a certain degree it will always occur. A good quality glass cleaner such as Invisible Glass will remove the residue.

or someone messing with you, sneezing, or someone using the old shaving-cream to avoid fogging trick. Seriously though, when was that cabin air filter changed out, and did you use one of those good activated carbon ones?

It's never been changed. I guess I could change it and see what happens.

They are really easy to change out; we haven’t tried out the good ones yet, but we did feel the need to do so after many days/weeks of being doorless, topless, sunrider open, and/or blasting down dusty trails. I honestly feel like they should sell them scented as well ( new car smell? ) so that you could just use your nose to tell when to change them out.

What @Waltjason said about the plastic off gassing. It is less noticeable accumulation if you are one that drives with the top off or a window down most times type of person. If not, that stuff accumulates pretty heavy and quick within a few months like you had a chain smoker living in your vehicle. As mentioned, should be less frequent over time.

How are you cleaning it? Normal glass cleaners just push the shmoo around. You need something like 97% alcohol or a mixture of water and vinegar (i think, i dont know for sure on that vinegar part because i just use the alcohol)

Also depends on your environment. Around where I live we have a coal depot, shipyards, salt air, smog from cars and trucks and lots of humidity. Every vehicle I’ve ever had quickly accumulates haze on the inside of the windshield.

The biggest Jeep-specific issue I’ve seen is that the windshields verticality means that the outside quickly becomes sand blasted and looks terrible within a few years. The little specs and imperfections reflect light and makes the visibility terrible, especially from the glare around dusk.

If you vape the vapor will accumulate quickly on the windows especially in cold weather.
Yep, wife's sister uses vape in her car and wonders why she has that problem. I won't let her vape inside the truck. For some reason she gets really mad when I ask her to step outside when underway?

What do you use to clean the inside of the windshield? I had this problem before noticing what I was using to clean windows was "not recommend for interior use". ?
