My second fill up range was 302.3 when distance to empty hit 20.
Filled up the tank fully at 17.956 gallons. I do have 620 miles on the odometer though if that makes a difference. I was really hoping for 20 gallons before the fuel indicates low fuel. Underwhelmed.

My goal is to reach 300 miles minimum with 35" AT with the JT. Not sure if this jeep can do it. How are you guys doing with fuel range with your upgrades?

Mine when almost full is normally between 330-343 running 35's. I'm averaging between 18.7-19.3 mpg also. I have not filled it all the way up. I was at 24 miles to empty two weeks ago and put 16.08 gallons in, $32 worth and it said 334 miles to empty when I got back in the Jeep.

@Jeeperjamie isn't yours the max tow as well?.. if so, thats very reassuring.
Yes sir, Max Tow. I was worried about MPGs.and the range as well but I have found it to be pretty amazing when compared to my JK. I may end up with 37's

The range calculation is an educated guess. It is based on the current fuel level and the computer's calculated MPG. I get the best mileage on long trips using the cruise control. This is not an economical vehicle to drive, especially around town. I don't watch the range. I just watch the fuel level and fill up when it gets down between a half and a quarter.

This is true but I get what's he's saying. I added mine up manually and the computer is pretty close on mine. I've gotten 315 miles out of mine between me putting more gas in for sure based on me resetting trip meter and using a gps app I use to calculate miles for my business. I also found around town mines does a little better on gas, other than taking a long trip.

I've driven 10mi past the "Low" indicator coming on, which is supposed to be when you have 15mi left on the tank. I filled up only 20gal, and that took some work (fill up till auto-off, wait one minute for fuel to settle, repeat a couple times).

https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/fuel-tank-capacity-low-fuel-light.24554/

The VERY first time I had my JT filled up at the dealership the estimated mileage on it was over 400mi, which was in line with it's 23mpg average at the time. I have consistently gotten 300-350mi on a tank running 35s (heavy ass Falkens at that) with a steel bumper and winch, showing about 17-18mpg on large hilly terrain of KY and the mountains in the Eastern part of the state (seems to do better at higher elevation at that). This lines up a little with the estimate. I get a reading of 360mi trip estimate on a full fillup. Divide by 22gal and that's 16.4 mpg. So not TOO far off, I'm betting they pad in 20-30mi on the trip estimator, or a gallon, in anticipation of folks running low on long trips out west where gas stations can be a bit aways between.

I've yet to run it completely dry, but I intend to before the summer is out.

The factory intentionally says the tank is empty when there are still a couple gallons left, for two reasons. They don't want you to have to walk if you are pushing the edge. The electric in-tank pump uses fuel to cool it.

I am running 35” Trail Grapplers with about 4” in lift. I get 300+ on nearly every fill up with all highway getting 350+. Decent for a heavy truck on big tires. Until I hook up my camper then I get less than 200 miles on a tank.

I only average about 300 miles a tank with 4.10's and a 2.5" lift & 37's on 20's. So, about 15 MPG.

Thanks guys. Very reassuring numbers. I don’t have a heavy foot, and I’m still driving it as if I’m breaking in the engine. I only hit WOT during my test drive for a brief second.
I’m still wondering why I barely make the 300 mark. Hopefully numbers will improve in time.

Today, I got under 10 miles to go with the "low" on the range. Filled up with 20.2gal, and full tank distance was 334 miles

I typically get right at 300 miles out of a tank...which is hand-calc'd at 15 MPG average. Which is about average for what my truck says.

We used to call them lie-o-meters back in the early 2000's, but they seem to have come a long way with being MUCH more accurate than they used to be on the older vehicles.

My 2007 Ram 2500 Cummins has ALWAYS been accurate, and so has my dad's 2008 Ram 2500 Cummins. Both of our built-in MPG meters have always been within a 0.5 MPG average after hand-calculating them with fuel receipts and testing.

@DeezJT didn't let it click off but put 14.3 gallons in this morning, had 66 more miles left on the range and it said 355 miles till empty, I could of probably got another gallon in it if I would of let it click off. Still not bad running 315 70 17 BFG KO2s. Makes me feel even more confident about going to 37's and still being able to get 300 miles out of the JT.
