I’m looking for suggestions for where others have sourced their extrusion parts. I’m not making a traditional rack, but something for a specific mount. If I get it right, it will eliminate my Thule rain gutter cross bars. I’m trying to get rid of them to lower my height and get Starlink off of the hard top. Along with some other structure in place on the bed rails, I want to build a “hoop” in the location a chase rack would be. My thought was three pieces of double track load bar style extrusion to create the shape. My first thought for tying it together is to cut the pieces onto a miter connection, and bend some brackets to attaché outside and in with t bolts.

If anyone has a favorite supplier, I’d appreciate it. For cosmetics, I think black would be great, but it’s not required. Thanks.

I haven't purchased from them, but I shop the website a bit when thinking about projects:

https://8020.net

I have also used their online builder for designing ideas and it is super cool.

They have silver and black extrusions and can also cut pieces (miter, etc) and machine for certain fasteners if desired when ordering.

Thanks very much. I just found this, but am checking yours before ordering anything.

I shop them from time to time as well.

Also, if you are not familiar with Send Cut Send, I recommend it as well if you need something fabricated and don't have a local place to do it. I had them make some brackets for the lights on my Gladiator (using their online tool) and they sent me an extra bracket at no charge (probably had space on the sheet they needed to use up or throw away). Nice group of people / website. The work they do is super clean too.

Thanks. I haven’t. I’m hoping this will make it easy enough to just do at home. I can miter cut steel and aluminum on my bandsaw, so the rest should be t bolts and flat pieces of steel with some bends. I won’t know the angle until I get started, so will try to do it here. As much as I’d like to, it probably won’t happen in September anyway. Need to go pickup the Willy’s and have several things to do before I leave.
