Thanks everyone for the insight. Will definitely go Spicer. I am curious to see what some shops would quote but again I am really tempted to give this a shot myself. Thanks again!

Depending on how many required tools you already has on hand. It can cost up to $1000 just for the tools alone and a weekend.

I would need the carrier/pinion bearing puller and a bearing race/seal driver set. Neither are terribly expensive. I am curious to call around to some shops locally and see what they would charge just out of curiosity.

The kit on Northridge which was linked is about $1,200 for both front and rear Spicer gear sets in 5.13 with the matching master overhaul kits. Plus the additional tools, I'd be around $14-1,500 and that's if I don't screw them up lol. I might call around just to see what some shops charge for peace of mind

I'm going to make some calls to see around my area. I mean if I'm in it for around $1,500 it might be better just having a shop do it if the pricing is similar.

Edit: Shit the 2 west valley shops are $2,800-$3,400. For that price I'll give it a go my damn self

There is a new coating that can be applied to the gears before install that eliminates break in and first oil change. I got it and it's been perfect.

What’s work?
Definitely Spicer, same for ball joints, ujoints etc. Re-gears are in large part are straight forward just parts, it’s the set up that’s crucial. Understand ratios and then imagine what that looks like at 75 mph, ring and pinion must have a state of chi. New differentials as in low mileage are easier then diffs with 250K on them so you’ll have that to your advantage. Housings do stretch over time it’s inevitable. Spicer does well with marking codes and generally are pretty uniform. Set up can facilitate the need for set up bearings, ideally set up bearings should be the same as you will end up using. Ring gear bolts, and carrier caps MUST be torqued, and pinion will be set with rotation torque. Ring gear and carrier mating surfaces need to be clean and prepped, use a wire wheel on for die grinder, avoid Roloc disk or anything abrasive. A press will certainly help with the work.
As for shops……legit shops do exists and just as many shops who say they can but can’t like lot of people say they are mechanics. Research carefully if you go this route. Grenade gears and can stretch diff housing permanently.
Coatings and other magic potions…..put a few hundred miles and just drain it, put a few hundred more and drain it again. Gear oil is cheap in comparison to gears. Regardless of magic potions and god like perfection in gear set up the reality is gears will “mesh”. Mesh on jack stands isn’t the same a mesh under load. There isn’t a filter so the debris goes where the oil does.

I am getting ready to install 5.13's in my JT axles. I am using Spicer gears and Master install kits. I have used various manufacturer in the past but I have found Spicer gears and install kits make the install much easier. These new Advantek pinions have different etching from what I am famailier with. Can someone shed some light on them?

I am more curious than anything, not worried about the actual set-up.

The M220 pinion is not actually etched.
All other markings are the typical Spicer part markings.

The "0" on the bottom left are the two 0-etched markings. When you pull your gears out of your Jeep, as long as they have the same 0 on the bottom/left you "should" be able to swap the new gears in with the same shim thickness as factory.
