Curious what your opinion is? Do Gladiators have a smoother ride than Wranglers? Longer wheelbase would suggest so however some people say with an empty truck bed they are actually a little bouncy and rude rougher. I'm considering going from a Wrangler to a Gladiator but would really prefer a smoother ride. Thx

They are similar to me and haven't been an issue. Your roads may be less maintained but I don't consider either wrangler or gladiator to be overly rough.

like @aFatBird mentioned, you need to test drive each and make your own call. Each platform the various models have their own suspension differences in terms of spring rates and shock valving that make each unique. Many have said Mojave Gladiator model has the best riding suspension of any Gladiator model though if that is what you are seeking.

If you really need the utility of having a bed, make the jump but otherwise stay with the Wrangler would be my advice.

My wife has a 24 Willys Wrangler and I have a 23 Rubicon Gladiator. In our experience the Gladiator is smoother, but agree with other comments saying it is suggestive and worth testing out.

My JT is much smoother than the wife's JL.

I haven’t driven a JLU in years since I was cross shopping it with my JT. However, the JT ride quality felt noticeably smoother and more controlled than the JLU I test drove. It was part of making my final decision on the JT.

Really depends on a lot. JT Mojave has a unique suspension. Amazing smooth compared to a JT sport. A JLU Sahara is a lot smoother than a JLU rubicon. Really need to know which JLU trim you want to compare to which JT trim.

I own both 21 Jtrd abd my wife's 22Jurd in my opinion there very similar only difference is I do have a rack and stuff in the bed which I'm sure helps smooth out the ride. I'd agree go drive one and do a compare for your situation that would be the best test good luck!

We have a JLU Sahara, JLU sport, Bronco outer banks Sasquatch and a Mojave on 37’s. The Mojave is my favorite and most comfortable driving one.

I have both.......the Gladiator rides much better do to the longer wheel base.

Yes, this can be subjective, just speaking from my experience with a JLUR and a JTM

My JTOD was light years ahead of my wife’s 2018 JLU Sport as well as her 2024 Willys. Only problem I had was constant bottoming out with the diesel.
