So last week I upgraded from a 21 Willy’s to a 22 Mojave. Everything was going smooth and I was very happy.
Couple days later it started making a sound on the left bearing. Whenever I turn left and hit a bump I hear a popping sound. Next thing is the handbrake loose and rattling. I’ve already adjusted it and now its fine.
Today in the morning when I pop the hood I come to realize it does NOT come with purple antifreeze but what it seems to be straight up water.
Not only that but also the engine cover is missing!
Hopefully this is not a lemon cause I really don’t wanna go through the headache of it.
Am I b****ing too much?
Has this happened to anyone else?

No lemon yet, but quality control might be lacking. Take the Gladiator back to the dealership and point out the problems. If the truck sits at the dealership for a long time, or multiple issues that aren't repairable, then you might have a lemon.

The anti-freeze coolant is perplexing to me. The purple stuff does not stay absolute purple once in use and will become somewhat opaque transparent and almost orange after while. What you have in the bottle is pretty clear though. May have been low from the factory and they just topped off with hopefully distilled water that has not had time to mix.

I still would take it in about the coolant though.

say what? None of it is opaque from what I’ve seen and I’ve had 3 Jeeps within a 3 year span

My late 21 (picked up in mid December) has a shudder in the trans. Have to take it into the shop guess it didn’t get enough fluid at the factory and/or some issue with the fluid (wrong, contamination). This thread makes me think I should go ahead and just flush and fill everything

Check your upper ball joints. My wife's 4xe had that sound and it ended up have one of the nuts just hanging on by the cotter pin. Ruined the tire on that side.

If it is an automatic, make the dealer do it. Otherwise, you risk warranty issues. Jeep labels them as a 'lifetime fill' that needs no service.

You are right, my Thesaurus was broken when I wrote that.

I’ve sent you a PM. I’ve been well down this road and had shuddering in manual shifting and a whine in my transmission. Pulled an oil sample for the lab at 24k kms which found glycol contamination from the factory. Flushed the transmission at a registered transmission shop as dealership didn’t want to do it and cost was on me. Your owners manual grants you permission to change out the fluids if contamination is detected. Transmission imploded at 32k kms. FCA and dealership threw the owners manual away to voided warranty for my use of a non MOPAR ATF even though it was code compliant. It’s now gone legal. We can discuss further through PM as I do not want to highjack this thread.
