No I want a three row wrangler for my wife.
I have a color matched topper on my JT. I have had multiple people ask if I have a third row seat.

I’d like to do a 5.7 Hemi swap with a 5 speed manual. That would be a fun little TJ.
The TJ does not have CAN Bus. So there's no point in using an inferior Hemi.

But a GM LT1 would be fantastic.

Yeah I know, it just feels wrong to swap in another company’s engine. LS swap is always the answer, right?

If anything, you would put a benz engine in it then.

But in all seriousness. A friend just put a LT1 connect and cruise system with a 10 spd auto in his JK and its amazing. LT1 takes everything good about the LS and bumps it up a notch. 460 hp and a full GM warranty on the engine and transmission.

Its also physically smaller than the Hemi and lighter since its all aluminum. It actually weighs less than the 6 cyl he took out of it.

Why are we hating on the bigger folks on this program. As a member of the fat man fraternity I appreciated the larger size of the JL and JT. I did not care for my father in laws JK because I felt cramped. The increased width in the JL/JT makes it perfect for us fat guys. So, thank you Jeep for making your product more comfortable for the fat guy. And for the rest of you that like smaller Jeeps, stop fat shaming us! Ha. Ha.

Or at least a scrambler platform again. I love the 2 door and the TJL is my dream jeep (besides the JT)

I loved my 2005 LJ! Traded it and a 2013 Frontier for Vlad the Glad. Should have kept the LJ and come up with the extra cash for Vlad

I mean, I think the writing is in the wall with the wrangler. Look at the Recon. Unibody, removable panels not top, and smaller.

Just a matter of time.

Unfortunately, I agree with you. I wish it weren't so. I don't mind electric. But the recon doesn't look Jeep enough to carry the legacy.

We shall see. As somebody who doesn’t believe everything that CNN tells me I’m not convinced that EV anything will make substantial inroads in the USA for quite some time. The reality is that ICE is still better for most Americans. As for the Wrangler lets be real, most Wrangler buyers don’t need one, they WANT one.

As the owner of a Mercedes E63 with the legendary M156 V8, there’s nothing I would enjoy more!

I totally get it, there’s a reason most engine swaps involve an LS platform engine. Feels like blasphemy but when the time comes, who knows?

Back down to TJ size besides me? I love the jk/jl and jt but I think the wrangler would benefit from getting back down to its roots especially with the notion that power plants will decrease in displacement as well as go hybrid and all electric. Reduce weight and footprint and get better milage. Pretty easy concept.

Trucks and suvs just seem to get bigger and bigger. I would love a 2 door gladiator with the same dimensions as a 2 door TJ brute truck or even an extended cab. Shorter, narrower and less weight. Everytime I see a new truck it just looks like dick measuring contest from the manufacturer. Who can have the biggest grill, widest stance, pretty chrome and flashy stickers. Is there no end to this madness?

It would be cool to see a resurgence of vehicles like the samurai (Suzuki jimny), geo tracker, trucks like the old ranger, s10 and tacoma. Iam clearly a minority.
I’m with you. My favorite was a cj 7 and tj rubi.

The LS is cheaper, simpler and has a larger aftermarket than the LT.

But eventually the LT will be where its at. Its an amazing engine. He gets better fuel economy than I do with the pentastar.
