A "FILES" area where we could find, say a wiring diagram for installing an xxxx or an owners manual or whatever?

I think it would be a great thing to have.

Which I did and do, that is not what I am asking..... One location for files and Drawings, like I get a schematic for wiring a front camera, yes it is in a post about me installing it, the replies and discussion, etc., but in the files, I can just load the schematic only. Or I get a scan of the owners book about SSC button and what it does, I can upload that to files.

Yes sort of, had to go thru a few pages of a thread, vs, looking in files or the search finding it in files.

Just a suggestion.... Not trying to reinvent the wheel, just improve on it?

To answer your question, No.

It is very unorganized, there really isn't a working Staff that keep things tidy and where they belong. "Stickies" are unheard of unless it's something the Admin wants to stress.

Truth be told, a lot of what is out there is still technically copyrighted that is shared. Having a centralized hosted file place puts more liability on the website owners of copyright claims from the original content owners.

Owner's manuals, service manuals, and wiring diagrams are available through resources that have been posted and made stickies in the maintenance section of the forums.

Beyond that, projects, mods, DIY's, and more can be found using the search function, in which case I highly recommend the Google option over the one built into the forum software.

With all the forums owned and tied together under one big banner, and all the sponsors for each individual forum, and all the search bots here mining info and the hits gotten from those bits of info, the owner(s) of this site are making a mint off of us.

There is a DIY section. In some of those posts people have put diagrams up pertaining to the post.
Unfortunately no File location to just put files. I think it would be hard to administer a file section. Who would decide what could go there. What if someone put a file up like a drawing and the information was wrong, etc.. There is a lot of good information on the forum, unfortunately there is more incorrect information.
