Dometic or ARB fridge?

I looked at the categories, don't know where this belongs.

I can get a Dometic CFX-75DZW for $850 shipped, they're $1230 on amazon. Looking to get something nice for the Overland build out on the JT.

Anybody know of a nice fridge that is less than 17.5" tall? I was hoping to be able to slide it under the diamondback cover, but looks like most of them are at least 18.5" tall.

Guess your just gonna have to "cave" and get a RAM REBEL -- much deeper Bed !

i thought the Dometic only used 0.5 to 1.0 amps while maintaining its temp.....need to find a good site to see these tests.

You should be able to pull up - via each manufacturers website - the Owners Manuals per model selected to find ALL the SPEC-shit your heat desires ! ? If not, Google should be able to find that stuff, Mr. guru research-hound !

Been running the dometic cfx 50 a lil over a year now and it’s been GREAT! When it’s not in the Jeep, it stays in my daily driver ON 24/7. It’s also great in hotels w/out fridges!

Just a thought, and I don't know if JT size is available - I should call - but 'A.R.E.' has this really cool tallish Fiberglass tonneau with 3-hatch access / full lifting of the tonneau . Originally just for the Taco's, but apparently they are expanding on that to full size trucks -- I'mm really hoping for a JT FIT -- I could go for THAT over a CAP . . . and for you guys wanting to put your fridges in the bed -- should be enough height ! ?

Good luck with that . . . I've NEVER gotten a response from A.R.E. - not a big fan of LEER (yet) . Just go to the website and check out the Tonneau's - you can't miss it -- looks different than the rest ! It may be in the Commercial side, come to think of it ?

The Dometic 65 qt dual zone fridge fits atop the rear passenger side seat while being able to open to access food inside.

I have found the 65 qt. Dometic is perfect for a 1 week back country 4 wd run where fresh food and vegetables are unavailable.
