well, thats like your opinion, man.
Mine too.
If it’s got brushes…hello paint swirls.
If touchless, never gets the film off a soft wash mitt does.

I can’t believe so many people use those horrific drive thru washes. gets Your kids or in my case a guy comes to my office every week and washes cars for 10 bucks a pop. Get a pressure washer with a foam canon and a good wash mit and get down to business. I bought a sediment filter I attach in line for the final rinse so I don’t have to dry. Takes me about 15 minutes from setup to finish to wash mine. Could probably do it quicker, but sometimes I just need some more time away from the wife!
I prefer to hand wash mine but am not always able to either due to weather or too many things going on. Also, in winter they put chemical on the roads here and the car wash has an undercarriage rinse which is somewhat difficult to do myself.

I do hand wash at least once a month but use drive thrus as maintenance. My local car wash has a monthly subscription for $30 that allows unlimited washes so it is easy to run it thru every day and keep it relatively clean.

Not gonna lie, I’m a little nervous about that first car wash… is it common for hard tops to leak? (I’ve had Jeeps for years but they weren’t Wranglers or Gladiators ‘til now)
there have been many posts about leaking hard tops but mine has not.

I have a hard top and have never had an issue, I go through 2x a week touch free. Do you have a soft top? My only issue is my back window leaks above window and I’ve started to get water trapped in roof
its a hard top.

i do the same but the monthly charge is only 15 bucks. its great. i live in a snowy area with chemicals. they got vacuums that really suck hard. its on my way home from work and keeps my windshield clean.

im happy that so many people here care about how i wash my truck. Looks like i need to check the drain plugs in my slush mats. and i also leave the hinge bolts out.

the high pressure sure makes a bunch of noise on the roof.

Jeep Gladiator Drive through car wash... spraying inside the cab 1635020147867

Couldn't resist ... :) One of the things I really like about the JT and any other pickup I've had is that, in my mind, "it's supposed to be dirty." That being said, if too dirty will wash in the touchless wash. The twirly-bird spinning brush washes look like a quick path to peeling paint off.

I went through two days ago and with add-on sill guards, my sandle-clad feet got a quick spray! That'll wake you up!

Anyway, worth it for the clean rig......also, ditch the factory radio antenna. No damage, just a need-to-do mod before next car wash cycle.

For those of us who live where there is snow in the winter time, it's helpful to have a place that has heated water and ability to have heated dryers.
Right! Who wants to wash their ride by hand when it’s 20 degrees outside? You’d have to hurry and do it before it freezes lol
