From what you have posted, it should be fine. Now if it was dripping that would be a big difference. In the Army that would "have been" a class one leak, many vehicles have that for years. Just think about how many drops are in the close to 2 gallons of transmission fluid. Your statement is not even dripping.
Class 1 leak, I haven't heard that line in ages. Make sure to fill out your 5988 correctly LOL

Well, that system works and keeps things in perspective. Especially when you compare transmission to a brake or clutch systems. That small of systems would be a show stoppers or lack of it. 🤔

Deadline criteria says class 1 is fine, just log it on your daily page and make sure the maintenance chief knows. ;)

The whole idea that you don’t need a dipstick, is highly flawed. Now you are supposed to go to the dealer, to have your ATF checked! How much money did they save on that bozo move? Anybody want to post the whole procedure for checking your ATF fluid level?

I’ll find the video for you. It’s not horrible, but is quite critical you stay within the temp ranges or fluid will start coming out.

The shaving of the PPE pan fins is no longer necessary. PPE now makes one with a full width cutout for the exhaust crossover.

There are many threads on this topic. Jeep says it is a lifetime fill with no maintenance needed under normal operating conditions. The designer of the transmission recommends a drain and fill around 60k miles.

I was a little late and did it at 75k. It’s smooth as silk now. Night and day.

The whole fallacy of the no fill tranny fluid becomes apparent when you discover a leak!
So the “how big is the puddle” questioning starts… pretty absurd in this day and age…

Pretty much. My original design gasket was leaking and I couldn’t care less that it was a slow seeping leak. I wanted it to stop. FWIW, the new gasket is so far not leaking at all. Very happy about that.

I tightened the aft side pan bolts and the seepage appears to have stopped. I was under there last fall changing the oil and installing heat pads, everything was dry. I doubt I lost much to the seep.
