Off Road+? I wonder if you can program the BCM to allow it in 2WD.I'd be like you if I had the 8 speed, but conversely, there's a lot of hate with the manual, precisely because you have to keep RPMs up like that. Too bad there's no sport mode on the AT. That'd probably do what you want.
I started to add the 2.0 turbo but honestly the dyno sheets online are so freaking variable that I don't feel right putting anything on the sheet. I don't know what the deal is. They're all over the place, some of them don't even look like the same engine.Butt Dyno FTW!
@BlueScapegoat It'd be fun to see a gas turbo on there... maybe the jeep2.0 or even better the Bronco 2.3 or 3.0![]()
Maybe fuel type? Doesn't it run on 87 but recommend premium?I started to add the 2.0 turbo but honestly the dyno sheets online are so freaking variable that I don't feel right putting anything on the sheet. Maybe if I get some time later I'll do a sheet with just the 2.0 Turbo dyno runs on it ?
Lots of different dynos that measure completely different. Dynojet, Mustang Dyno etc. Correction factors cannot accommodate.I started to add the 2.0 turbo but honestly the dyno sheets online are so freaking variable that I don't feel right putting anything on the sheet. That could be it. The Bronco I know senses octane and the difference is pretty big. I know very little about the Jeep 2.0.Maybe fuel type? Doesn't it run on 87 but recommend premium?
I'm aware of that, I even said that in my first post. But at least with the 3.6 and 3.0 charts they resemble each other enough I feel good averaging them together.Lots of different dynos that measure completely different. Dynojet, Mustang Dyno etc. Correction factors cannot accommodate.

100%, I can tell the cruising power picks up noticeable at 2,000. Never fear the gearThat 3.6 torque curve is exactly what I expected, and why I keep my manual above 2000 RPMs, and don't even attempt acceleration below 2500 RPMs. The 3.6 is pretty weak below 2500, as we all know. It's exacerbated on the manual, because you have to do it yourself, of course, and a lot of folks just don't like RPMs that high, and also the long 3rd gear. Above 2500, it has a nice flat torque curve. So it builds HP nicely throughout the rev range. So like we all know, the 3.6 likes to rev high.
Man, now I really want that GDE tune!I was discussing the Pentastar vs Ecodiesel in a group chat with some friends and threw together a direct comparison of dyno sheets for the hell of it. Figured I'd share here.
I want to make a point of saying I'm not arguing the accuracy of these sheets. I grabbed a few from various sources online, scaled them and sort of visually averaged them, and this is the result. Different dynos and different calibrations will have a pretty large effect on the results. The purpose is to give the uninitiated a good idea of how a diesel compares to a petrol engine.
GDE tune is just on the sheet because that's the route I'm planning to go.

Sport s max tow weight with 2/3 tank was ~45xx
