I have new fenders on the way to replace my bushwackers. Need to order inner fenders as well. Currently have the ACE front inner fenders & they really suck to get in & out (have to crawl underneath) and they block access to the JKS quick disconnect mount. So I want to replace them & add matching rear ones when I install the new fronts.

The obvious choice is the AAL fender liners, but getting them the way I would want they are well north of 800 bucks. I also dont need them to be "that" simple in & out. Just want to not have it be a big chore & require climbing under the truck.

Any suggestions that arent a pain in the ass.

I have motobilt inners, I used the Included nylock nut & screws they provided. However after reading this it would be extremely easy to just use nut serts instead & screws thus allowing quick removal.

These fenders were extremely easy to install too... I could see them being removed in under 10 mins if you took the nut sert route. It may be time consuming for the initial drilling install but ez out inners would be really handy.

Yeah I am not at all concerned about the install time. Just the in & out later. Motobilt however does not have rear inners. So my OCD has to take a pass on them as not having the rear match already bothers me.

I used Fishbone. There's only 5 bolts holding them in iirc, and 2 bolts holding the 2 parts together. Finnicky to get in and also block the JKS, but there's a very easy solution to the JKS issue.

I haven't decided how I will solve the JKS issue, haven't looking into it yet, but I will probably modify the JKS mounts and have them tack welded elsewhere.

Yeah if it was that simple for what I have I would of already done it.. The JKS brackets are installed & in place right now.. The ACE fenders completely cover them. They are way in front of the mounts. Nicely designed product, just too many drawbacks for me at this point.

You could pretty easily just use a hole saw to pop a hole in the liners for the JKS. I may do that. But I may also just have them welded somewhere in the front of the frame too.

Thats been on my to do list. But I think I would be happier just replacing mine with something that also gives me easy access.. I have the apex steering boost kit which to adjust requires removing the passenger inner fender & an ARB compressor behind the drivers side. So I have had to pull each of mine out & reinstall several times & I am just through with it..

Well before you replace your fender liners with pricier ones, consider a rockjock antirock bar. Cheaper than new liners. I may also go that route bc I don't really wanna cut the liners.

I was out there looking at it just now, you could also def fashion some holder that keeps the link and sway bar up even if it isn't the JKS tabs. Just something attached to the frame as an anchor point and then ball bungees.

If it was just the disconnects then I would probably go with the antirock's.. But for the sake of disconnects I have been doing zip ties & it works somewhat ok. Passable at least. Its the access though thats leading me to more expensive ones.
