I love my ecodiesel as far as the driving experience, I'm at 50,000 miles now and it's been consistent. However I've had a recurring P2002 code which is related to the Particulate Filter. It's been in the shop like 3 times now for the same code. Last time they changed a sensor, drive it 50 miles with no code, and as I was driving it home the Check Engine light came back on again. So now they're saying they need to replace the DPF and the part isn't even shown to be in the warehouse. They are citing the UAW strike as a reason for the unknown time frame. My issue is now they're saying it's not drivable so now I'm stuck without a car for an indefinite time frame. They're saying they can do a rental for a few days max, apparently the car rental coverage is related to the repair time, not time waiting on parts.
As a side note they also ordered the parts for the fuel pump recall, no time frame yet for those either.
Has anyone had a similar experience? What did you do? Seems like rental coverage would be reasonable.
