Good point on the n. Got to keep that in mind. Something state legislatures know nothing about. Court precedents are an n=1 so why not make laws based on one event? Lawyers/internet ?You have some values that are above average but remember how you arrive at an average; a bunch of highs and a bunch of lows. Don't see anything there to worry about. New engine with warranty. Go drive it and have fun.
Broken in way before that, and even other wear items should be long since stabilized.By 21,000 miles your engine should be broken in.
My observations are - you usually are.^^^^
I was trying to be nice…?
I don't drive it very nicely but I do wait for it to be warmed up before doing soThey are technically "Broken in" really quickly, but there's still some things that will continue to wear and appear slightly elevated in the first 10,000 miles - in some cases. There's a lot of variables.
IMO, if this thing has under 10,000 miles on it, I'd not be concerned. If it had 3 times that, maybe "wonder".
Use has a lot to do with it as well.
Yea now that I have the fumoto I will drain it hot. I have quaker in there now which I plan to test on change.Broken in way before that, and even other wear items should be long since stabilized.
I missed seeing the miles on unit part......... small screen here.
For those miles, I do wonder about the aluminum. But the chrome is normal as are most other metals.
I change oil when hot, let it run out for at least 15 minutes (unless in a production shop) and take my samples through the dipstick tube after at least a 20 minute drive and watch that everything is totally warmed up.
Took me over 2 weeks last time - close to 3 as I recall. How long did it take you to get your results? It's been 2 weeks since I sent my sample in.
