I’ve developed somewhat of a squeal in the drive belt areas, missed my appointment at Jim Marsh due to oversleeping and it being at the ends of the earth vs where I am. They were another week or two out, so I checked JeepOnly, a 5 minute drive and they got me in today… long story short they had parts to do my recall. Hopefully all is well in the world and I get the truck back with no issues.

Talking to the advisor I ended up with, sounds like they got essentially a new staff up front with a new service manager within the last 3 months, which explains why they now have appointments readily vs not even 7 months out like they were last year.
Yeah, it is an all-new crew there again. Did you get it in today?

And mine is done… here are the love letters others have mentioned from FCA (it’s in the paperwork vs Stelantis)

don’t think I’ve ever seen a manufacturer get so picky on the type of fuel you use… I wonder if all of this will be enough to save them from a class action, whether it be Bosch or FCA.

Does the engine sound the same? I heard that the new fuel pump can be noisy if it’s installed incorrectly

I’ve had it back for a total of like an hour. All seems to be the way it was before. I’ll check tomorrow before it gets hot enough out to melt satan’s balls… it’s only May. Idk why I live here.

Just got my fuel pump recall fixed. Is the fuel pump visible when you open the hood? I’m trying to see exactly what they replaced, but I don’t see any brand new, clean parts on my engine.

Does anyone have a picture of where it’s located?

You can't see the pump directly, it has a cover installed over it. See the green circle in the picture attached for the pump's location.

Yep no issues a few weeks in. Drove to Kingman AZ today with some steep passes this weekend, Southern Utah last weekend and all is in order.

I saw temps of 103 and 107 in the last week already. /shrug

I keep calling my dealer service department and they say there’s a backlog and they’re not getting enough of the parts in at a time. I’ve supposedly been on their wait list since February.

I learned yesterday that a friends dad has a diesel gladiator that was at the dealer for a year for a fix…..how is that even possible or legal?

How would it be illegal? There is nothing illegal if your friends dad allowed it to happen if he did nothing. Lemon laws are usually pursuant upon the claimant starting that process.

They will do as little as possible. After 30 consecutive days you can usually start a buy back process and lemon law it…. But from talking to service advisors, posts here, etc. Jeep Cares can usually get parts, even if it was the old pump if not… sell it back. I’m not taking a year of depreciation and/or making payments for a year on something I’m not driving.
