After waiting 3 months, I went back to my dealer to see where I was on the waiting list. Still #5! Nothing has changed. They told me they haven't gotten any of the new pumps yet.
Last Nov-Dec my dealer said they got 1 every 7-days

It's been 4 months now and I think my dealership still has not done a single HPFP recall. Every time I call they say they are waiting on parts. Anyone else seeing this at their local? I'm starting to wonder if some dealerships are just trying to avoid doing this work.

It's been 4 months now and I think my dealership still has not done a single HPFP recall. Every time I call they say they are waiting on parts. Anyone else seeing this at their local? I'm starting to wonder if some dealerships are just trying to avoid doing this work.

I went to my local dealer in December to inquire about the recall. I was told they can only order 1 replacement pump per week but mine should be in around the end of Feb but they had no idea when they are showing up. So the end of Feb was nearing and I had days off of work coming up, so I called the dealer to see if the pump had arrived yet, I was on hold a few minutes, the service advisor came back on and said it hasnt arrived yet. I asked them to book me an appointment just incase it comes in so it can be replaced while I was off work, they instantly said no, I argued back, you cant deny me an appointment, lol. They relented and booked the appointment, I also was having them program a new PCM for me at the same time.
One week before the appointment date I called the parts dept to check if the PCM I ordered had arrived, it had, on a whim I asked the parts guy that service told me that the replacement HPFP and parts might be in as well and did they arrive ? I was shocked by his reply.
He said I was fairly low down on the list of recipients and wasnt due to have the replacement done for some time. After I told him what serivce dept told me and that I had an appointment booked to have the install done incase the parts showed up on my days off, he said he would order the parts and they would arrive in time for my appointment, lol.

Basically the service dept lied their asses off about the whole thing.

Sorry for the long winded reply.

Originally took mine in for an inspection in October. Was told at the time they were getting one pump a month, and I likely wouldn't see a pump for mine til May/June-ish. Mine went in for the replacement yesterday, so a couple of months earlier than I was originally was told.. Been driving it around today a little, and everything feels and sounds "the same". No added noise while driving. A slightly louder "buzz" after I turned the vehicle off, but that's always been there, just not as loud. No oil/fuel drips. So far, so good.

I took the wife's Wrangler in on Wednesday to get the pump replaced. Originally made the appointment a little over a week ago. While dropping the Wrangler off, I asked about getting my Gladiator done. Service guy checked with the parts department and said sure. Come back tomorrow and swap rigs and we'll do it.
So today, Thursday I swapped rigs. Shortly after getting home they called and said the Gladiator is done. I'll go pick it up in the morning.
We bought the Wrangler from this dealer, but not the Gladiator. We bought the Gladiator from a closer dealer and that is where we've had the oil changes done. That dealer tells me they don't know when they will get the parts for my recall. Guess it doesn't matter anymore.

Just got mine done today. Of course, the tech forgot to tighten intake hose clamp and oil spilled everywhere, yes oil. After inspecting their works and cleaned up the oily mess. It appeares for whatever reasons, they had to disconnected the pitman arm and the 4 steering box bolts too. Oil spilled is power steering fluid. Most likely for more clearance to remove the pump through the side, toward the air box.

This is the first time anyone worked on my truck other than myself since new, and i felt a little violated when they pulled up the truck with fluid dripping ?

Mine was one of the first ones completed at the Factory. Background history ordered 8 Mar build date started 12 April and went into Storage on 18 April...meaning it never left the lot and was shipped to the dealer after pump replacement sometime in Oct( as the scheduling guy was also not there).

My Truck arrived at dealership end of Oct. Nobody can tell me an exact date the HPFP was replaced other than we did a bunch and yours was one of them...of course this was in the middle of the Strike so I guess the folks responsible for the items to add(all the labels) weren't there...I did get the addendum to the manual and the fuel sticker on the tank door, but the hood label guy was missing that day lol. Who knows maybe later I will find out mine was in the photoshoot of the TSB lol.

If you cant find the info go to the NHTSA recall page
https://www.nhtsa.gov/vehicle/2023/JEEP/GLADIATOR/PU%252FCC/4WD#recalls

and here are the TSBs that have been uploaded so far. Last one is 130 pages.

I just ran my vin and it shows mine was completed April 13 2023??? That must have been done at the factory because my truck was built March 2023 and saw some interior panels I removed for upgrades with April 2023 date codes.

Neat trick since the initial version of the recall fix didn't come out until October 2023.

Now I understand. April 13 was the day that recall was issued. The box is checked off online showing completed. I bought the Jeep brand new in November 2023 so the dealer would’ve done it. There’s no stickers or any evidence of it being done that I can see?

That'd make more sense, parts issued out in October and the recall performed by the dealer so they could finally sell it in November. When I had my recall fix performed, the dealer didn't apply any of the decals to show that it was done either, they only swapped out the pump and put the owner info packet in the glove box.

Sad to report my HPFP went out on me last week after 59k miles. I’ve been on the waiting list for several months with the dealer but not very many have been coming in. Even with a failed pump the parts still have no ETA. I put in a claim with Jeep Cares to figure out something to drive in the meantime and maybe escalate the order but we’ll see if anything changes with the parts.

I’m glad the failure happened close to home cuz we’re about to take a road trip out to Wyoming from California. That would’ve been an expensive tow bill
