Engine Tick now needs replaced

How much warning if any do you get with this?

I thought mine was injector noises. So maybe it was doing it longer than I thought.

Ouch man, 3400 Dollhairs for some top end on one bank.

Dealer then added cylinder head to the mix after seeing some damage adding about 1k. In the end Jeep did goodwill most of the cost. Took a few weeks for parts to come in. The holidays did not help.

No I haven’t and it’s still not done. Been a month and a half. Should I just get rid of this thing? I only owned it for 3 weeks.

They never figured out the issue but the engine is replaced and works like it did before.

5yrs or 60k miles..........................2yrs/27k in, will be a LT swap once the warranty is toast.

To me it’s kind of like a sewing machine sound. I wasn’t sure if that was normal so I listened to other 3.6s and they have the same sound.

Well it will be paid off this month, so I will just allocate that monthly payment to a slush fund.

As someone who had the issue 3 months after warranty ended with only 45k. I’d bring it in a month before the warranty ended and tell them you think you hear a tick. Let them determine it is or isn’t lol.

You obviously have better dealers than I do. All 4 of the dealers I have access to won’t touch it until a light goes off.

Obviously it’s a thing. Local Tampa dealer told me to just run it until it dies, it’s under warranty. Not wanting to be somewhere that I would need a $1000 recovery bill, I just traded it in for a new one.
