It’s only popped up twice, and it goes away quickly. I believe it said “clutch overheating warning, stop using clutch”, which it’s a manual, so can’t really do that. There was no smell and I don’t believe that there was anything actually wrong with the clutch, but still unnerving.

Another problem I forgot to mention was that the backup cam no longer activates when I put the car in reverse, I have to manual click it for it to turn on.

I love the truck, hoping it’s just a simple electrical problem.
There are issues with the clutch overheating. Recalls specifically, don't know for sure if any TSBs.I would be contacting the dealer on that one for sure and get it documented.

When I took delivery of mine last week from Travis at Tri City, he popped the hood and made sure all of the fuses were seated correctly. He said there were many delivered with the fuses not seated completely, and that it was causing issues. Might be worth a look..?

I picked up my MT Overland in March. Just hit 15,000 miles this weekend, zero issues.

Hope they're a simple common issue and not actually your clutch burning up. Curious what you find from the dealer.

I purchased a new Gladiator Willis in manual transmission two weeks ago.....I have had 4 error messages come on so far: Service 4wd (I’ve never even used it), Start Stop function stopped working after 100 miles, clutch overheating (driven manuals my entire life, I’m not over using the clutch) and Air conditioning stopped working. I understand quality control for Jeep is not something they take pride in, but this many problems before I have 500 miles on my car seems ridiculous. I have an appointment to take it back to the dealer in two weeks, so hopefully it‘s an easy fix.

Has anyone had any of these errors as well? Any easy fixes?
Hey, Cguess. If you're currently working with a dealer for the aforementioned concerns and need an added layer of assistance, feel free to reach out in private message.

Mine had a connector not fully snapped in, caused all kinds of messages. Service 4wd, gear selector stopped displaying, no back up camera (probably because it no didn’t know it was in reverse).
when the tech scanned it the first time it displayed which sensor wasn’t working. They ordered a new one and that didn’t fix it, he finally found the loose connection the old fashioned way (without the scanner)….

I didn’t read the whole thread, so this was probably asked, but did you check to ensure all fuses were properly seated/pushed in?

Dealer should have done any recalls before vehicle was delivered. It's what they do (or are supposed to).
They enter the VIN and it pops up and flash or recall the vehicle is subject to. That's supposed to happen FIRST before the customer gets it.
I'd also check all fuses - likely it's a simple dealer thing if not some loose connection.
Of all of the Jeeps we've had over the years - we stick with 'em because of the LACK of issues. Things can go wrong with ANY vehicle - but we've had such great luck with these.......... (and my Chevy truck never had a single issue, ever, not any, not even something simple - for 48,000 miles and over 8 years)
My wife has had Grand Cherokees with zero issues - and the ones that did have issues, they were minor and easily fixed by the dealer - under warranty.

Like everybody else said, stories like yours do come up occasionally, but not often, and it's total speculation to say what the problem is without an investigation at the dealer. Fortunately for you, many states have "lemon laws" which typically will give the dealer three chances to fix all the problems, if they can't make it within spec after three tries, they have to buy it back from you.
Nevertheless, if you like the truck, that's probably not the best option. Best option is to find a dealer with a reputable service department and have them fix it. With a combination of random electronic faults, it's likely to be something that affects multiple systems, like a battery, wiring harness, computer module, software, etc.

Following...as I also have a MT. Definitely sounds like an electrical issue common to multiple sensors. Is the auto start-stop light illuminated on the dash or is it just not working? As I understand the latest clutch recall, the overheating warning is triggered via software which compares engine rpm to speed to determine slippage (i.e. there is no temp sensor directly on the clutch) but I could be incorrect. Keep us updated on status/solution.

Check your battery cables. I have had issues like this before on a JKU.

Check your battery cables! If they are not very tight they will cause all kinds of issues.
