I just wired my deposit to get the ball rolling on an AMW 425/345 conversion by Exodus on my 2020 Gladiator Rubicon. I'm located in North East Texas so Exodus in New Braunfels was a good fit geographically. I spent a lot of time doing due diligence and found Exodus' reputation for this work is very good as is AMW's. Ryan at Exodus was very helpful answering my many, many questions. Also, the threads previously posted here were helpful in making my decision. Thanks Jeep Gladiator Forum folks!! Special thanks to JTPatriot. He is the original poster of a very helpful thread and very kindly answered many of the questions I had by private message. His experience was particularly relevant since his conversion is very similar to mine.

Schedule critical path is likely shop time availability. Exodus says "as soon as possible" but could be February. In shop time estimate is 4 weeks. I'll try to make progress post here as things actually get going. Hopefully the resulting thread may be as useful to someone else and previous threads have been to me.

I did discover that there is no credit on any of my take off parts. I can have them back or leave them with Exodus as I choose. So, if anyone is interested in the 3.6 drive train (55k miles, well maintained, in great shape) plus an AFE CAI and Flowmaster FlowFX cat back exhaust system for pick up or shipping from Exodus let me know by message. I'm sure we can work something out since my alternative is to just leave everything with Exodus.

Again, thanks to Ryan, JTPatriot and the Gladiator Forum members. I'll keep y'all posted!

Thats great news. When I spoke to AMW they were going to give me $3500 for my 3.6. Maybe cause the mileage, who knows. Keep us updated

Hendawg_JTR, thanks for that info. I have no idea what mine would be worth. The way I look at it right now is, "anything at all would be better than nothing" so if someone has a need for the 3.6 drive train, message me and we can talk.

If you wait a year or two, Jeep may put a turbo 4 cylinder in the gladiator that makes more hp/tq than the pentastar so you could trade your old jt in and upgrade to the turbo 4 alot cheaper than getting the v8 conversion, plus probably get 20-22 mpgs to boot.

But actually, he would just wait a year or two, and it would still be coming with the same 3.6 it's always had.

Like the man says, someday never comes.

Ya and I don't really have the patience
That's good, if it's the right move for you, do it, don't wait for someday.

Look forward to seeing how it turns out for you, I've almost convinced myself to send my wife's in lol, I'm already in Michigan not terribly far from AMW.

I'm 82 so waiting on Jeep to do anything is likely not a very good plan for me. And even if a turbo 4 were to happen, it still would not sound like a Hemi. :) For me, its a Hemi and the time is now.

Awesome to hear you got the ball rolling. Glad I could help in any way possible.

Now the wait begins, but it will all be worth it. Just keep us posted.

With no credit there’s no way I’d be leaving all the take off stuff with them.
Looking forward to the final product update.

Ok,

1. Who wants a turbo 4 cylinder engine in a truck? Whoever does shouldn't be driving a truck.

2. You're 82 you do what you want!

3. Why wait for Jeep to make a Gladiator 392? They are going to charge you over $100K for it.
Your conversion is probably cheaper!

I'm jealous and happy for you!
