Experiances with the Insane Audio Head Unit

I want to replace the 7"radio with either the 8.4 or maybe the Insane Audio unit. Seeing some good reviews on the Insane. I cant seem to find answer to whether it can do all the same capabilities as the 8.4 can. Off road pages, full gauges, angles of the vehicles, etc. Also want a review from someone who opted for the Insane and has some time with it for a detailed good/bad kind of thing. Just cant swallow the 8.4 cost yet, but I might if the Insane is lacking in some aspects. I hear the Insane doesnt have a Sat Radio tuner?That may be a show stopper for me. I travel alot and want the Sat capability

I had one in my JL and liked it

think of an android based tablet in your dash and that’s pretty close to what it can do and it does not have Sirius built in but you can add a tuner for that. It also does use its own gps

I have the insane audio and am liking it so far. I have only had it installed for about t days, so I am still playing with it and figuring everything out that I can do with it. I have had 2 of the 8.4 Uconnect head units (1 in a challenger and 1 in my wife’s Grand Cherokee) and they both had to be replaced. Same problem for both, the screen was delaminating and coming apart so I was not looking to get another 8.4. I got a great deal here from another member, so I went ahead and bought the insane audio to try out. I am an iPhone guy and having the wireless CarPlay is nice, but it is not as reliable as I would like currently. I have a Pioneer head unit n my JKU that also offers wireless CarPlay and it works a lot better as far as connecting quickly and remaining connected. Everything works well as far as my heated seats, HVAC controls, steering wheel controls, etc. I am trying to figure out how to use their built in Nav, when I opened it up it took me to google maps, so I need to do some more digging there. Overall I would recommend checking it out in person if you are able to, or if you can find a good deal on one someone is offloading buying it to check out.
