Extended Test Drive

Does anyone know places that do an extended test drive? Or rental companies that carry Gladiators? Or any advice to get a JTR/JTRD for a day or 2? Planning on doing a full build out if/when I buy ($20k+ aftermarket parts). I would just like to be absolutely sure I want to buy once the 22 model drops. Fully aware of Turo but looking for other options as well.

Carmax used to allow overnight test drives, no idea if they still allow it given the current sales climate.

I think Enterprise has some Gladiators, can't help much past that. I don't think they'll ever "guarantee" you a vehicle but you can always call and ask around.

This. I have driven a rental JT thru Enterprise, but it's 1st come/1st serve. You can't reserve one. Good luck.

To add to this I will say that when I wanted to try the Renegade I had to call to specific lots. When I finally found 1 I said that if I can up there could he hold it. The guy said he'd hide the keys for like 15 or so minutes for me. He took the keys from his desk drawer when I got there lol.

Local dealer in NH allowed me to have it overnight. I said it was a condition of potentially buying it.
Wanted to get it on freeway, backroads, errands. Wanted to fit a cooler in the back, camping stuff, throw the kids in. All the things I couldn’t do with a salesman riding shotgun.

Enterprise does have some Gladiators. Again first come first served. Speaking from experience. I've driven both gasser and diesel. Much prefer the diesel. I own a diesel Gladiator. The gasser was a loaner while mine was in the shop. I wouldn't give it up ever.

Avis auto sales does this, in the Dallas, Texas area at least. When I looked last month, they had Gladiators you could do that with. It is essentially a car rental though. If you like it, you can buy it and they credit the rental cost to your down payment.

I’ve rented two gladiators from Avis. They do have long term rates and a Google search will usually turn up some good discount coupon codes.
