I have the factory liner in my Gladiator, my 03 F250 has the LineX. The LineX was done when the truck was new, no issues with it. Lots of loads of gravel and fire wood over the years. The LineX appears thicker but I am happy with either option.

Drop in... great protection for around $200
I’ve had those on some work vehicles. Mixed feelings overall about them. They do trap moisture, and cargo reds to slide around (an asset for loading though). But I would certainly use one instead of nothing at all.

I would give him some time to research and try again. I have the factory bedliner (3-28-2019 build) with no issues. If you are going to get the Trail Rails, I would prefer factory for both options.
yes, ordering the rails mainly to get the power outlet plus needed later for the rack I have my eye on.
What are you thoughts/concerns related to rail > get factory spray liner?
Thx

I wonder if the loss of factory bed liner has anything to do with the new custom shop Jeep is working on? From my understanding when I ordered my truck in 2019 the spray in liner was done by an independent company on the grounds of the factory. Perhaps they are moving or have temporarily lost there work shop?

Lets see if my memory is any good. I remember my truck being stuck in the bed liner phase for weeks. I believe it was D1?

Exactly! Love the factory bed liner but it did hold the special build up.

I wouldn't change anything if I had to do over. It's warranted and I'm very impressed with the outcome. Not hauling rock so thickness isn't a concern with me. But see how it would be with others. I did throw in a rubber bed mat.

The main problem I see reported is the bed liner overspray in the bolt holes for the Trail Rails, for those that add them afterwards. If the rails are factory installed, they could just spray around them with an aftermarket liner. They may want to remove them to spray it in, which could become an issue when putting them back on.

I’m going with a BedRug and tonneau (Diamondback) for the following reasons. 1 The interior doesn’t have to be scuffed up to be applied 2. It won’t fade. 3. Items do not slide as bad 4. The rug provides additional dent protection from the padding 5. The rug can easily be washed out and extends to the tailgate to prevent debris and blood from getting between the bed and tailgate. 6. The rug is easier on my knees if I need to crawl around.

That is good news, as shops usually do a better job for same or lower cost. I bet Jeep didn't want to warranty the shit job the factory option is.

Emailed Gupton to start the process of ordering my Rubicon Diesel and was told the following by Daniel Gupton himself:

"Spray In Bedliner is currently unavailable to order. I'm not sure if that is a permanent change or temporary but we cannot add that option even though it shows available on the Jeep.com website."

Anyone know anything... I cringe at the idea of having it done aftermarket and it not coming out well.

Oh yea, and a bunch of options went up in price
For me its
+$100 Keyless proximity
+$100 8.4 radio Prem Audio
+$170 LED Lights
+$50 Steel bumper
+$195 M/T Tires
+$100 3 Piece black roof

Total +$715
In regards to the availability and prices of certain items, at least during my experience it seems that when doing an order from the factory corporate is always making one option available and another option that you must order. When I was trying to do my order, gator color was unavailable and hardtops had to come with headliners and all weather mats. I ended up just buying one from the lot, and adding a tonneau and bedliner after market. Combined was less than $700.

I've hauled iron in mine, including car parts and an antique engine on steel wheels from here to Fort Wayne - then more car parts back home again. I am not all that careful with stuff back there, tossing things in, literally, and dragging them out. No issues. When I mounted my tailgate ladder, I can't call the factory stuff thin.
Thick doesn't always mean better, I never judge on the thickness, I judge on the toughness.
I've had the tailgate panel off, dug the liner out of the threaded holes, etc. - no complaints at all.
Like I said - I have hauled iron in mine, no damage.

The only thing about drop in is that if you ever take it off you'll find the paint all scratched to heck from the dirt trapped between the drop in and truck bed.

Mine came with the factory spray in which is fine because I got a decent deal on the whole truck and it saves me a lot of time and a trip to drop off the truck with Rhino at zero dark thirty and wait all day or drop off then pick up which is 4 trips, not sure which is worse.

My friend actually got his entire Land Cruiser Rhino coated. I tell ya... that thing was indestructible. We went over his house and attacked his car with knives, keys, fists, feet, and not a thing. It didn't even show the slightest scuff or scratch or even dirt from our shoes kicking it. Makes me want to buy a beater truck just to do that to.

Shooting is so uncivilized. I prefer 5 goons with baseball bats going Casino-Nicky style in a cornfield.

I had a drop in liner in an S10 I owned for quite a while. I knew crap was getting behind/under it so I pulled it out for cleaning, the third time or so noticed it had rubbed through the paint to bare steel in places. Happy with my factory liner now and don't miss how items slid around on the drop in.
