Definitely looks like a tire cupping/scalloping problem to me as well.

Hi all I have 24k on my Mojave, Looking at the tires I noticed lugs casting shadows as if they were protruding past one another and not at even heights.
Is this normal?
I Rotate every 4k at least, and keep them at 33-34psi.

A little under 24k miles and mine are showing the same condition…

Stock everything… no lift. Tires rotated every 5k miles.

Cupping wear appeared on mine around 40k. Dealer insisted it was an alignment problem. We found a local, independent front end specialist. His remark was, “the factory spec has too much toe in”. He did a 4-wheel alignment to his specifications and no problems since. Drives straight, no wiggle or wobble and w/regular rotation the tires are now wearing evenly.
I hope that is the case… I am guessing that there is no sense in getting an alignment done now… I will do that when I replace these tires.

Well, decided to go the most inexpensive route. Only the front tires were showing this wear with 22,000 miles and just one rotation some 12,000 miles ago…

So instead of taking this opportunity to buy 5 new tires (pizza cutters that I want next-Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T LT255/85R17), I bought one tire. Had the dealer swap the spare tire from the spare rim to one of the front rims. And will be installing a new tire in the other rim on Monday, since they had to order it. Jeep will be parked until then.

Effectively giving me two new tires in the front.

Then, when all these wear out, it is pizza time baby!!

Mine aren't cupping visibly, but I have noticed a noise increase in the last 10k miles or so. They currently have 60k on them, with 0.35" of tread left. They look like they'll go to 100k.

Dang, my tires at 35k (Falken MTs) looked WAY more worn than you guys. But, I'm probably 50/50 off-road.

Also, I had weird wear patterns. I just got a lift with new shocks, and the shop guys said my old shocks were completely blown (Rubicon Fox), which can lead to uneven wear and cupping. So, be mindful that if you wheel, those Rubicon Fox shocks are probably not a long term solution.

I am guessing that multiple trips on the highway for 85 miles one way (some 170 miles round trip from Orlando to Ocala), at 80-85 mph, did not help me at all...

We moved... so now at Ocala, and only doing local errands... they should last me a long time.

I got 75K on the Wildpeaks that came on my JT, still had 10K tread left. Replaced 35K ago both sets wore flat no cuping. My truck works better at 38psi. Had front end alignment at 25 and 75 one of the best tires I have ever run.

I ran the original 33" Falkens on my 21 Mojave for over 50k at 37 psi and rotated every oil change, no issues. Last fall I replaced them with 35" Falkens because they performed better on snow and ice then my BFG AT/KO2 did on my Ram. Still no issus and I run these at 34psi. I think your tire pressure is too low for 33 inch C rated and that maybe part of the issue.

I now have two new tires in the front of my Mojave... will monitor tire pressures. That had to play a role in the wear I got...

Just a thought, when they rotate the tires, they are just going front to back on the same side. They are not crossing over as recommended! This will cause cupping and wear. Seems most shops do it that way now due to directional tires and just being lazy!

Alignment. 3 years and 35k, no issues. I vary the tire pressure between 35 and 42 periodically... higher pressure when I travel.

Mine are noisy, probably need an alignment, they have always been loud,

I just noticed the same thing as the OP on my new to me 2023 Mojave. I have no idea if the tires were rotated or not, but I just hit 31k and the front tires are wearing unevenly. The rear ones are exactly as I would expect tires to wear.
