you can also fix that with JSCAN which cost far less . I use both; TAZER for the live functions and JSCAN to permanently edit things like LED and Tire sizeNo regrets with quake. The only gripe is that it’s supposed to not cause hyperflash with non led model jeeps like mine and it does so I need to buy a taser now to correct it.
You can stop the relays clicking?Because if you have the Tazer mini you can use it to stop that
These are the Motobilt High clearance inner fenders part number MB1243. They gain you 1.75”s of clearance in the upper rear corner and if you choose to you can cut the bottom by the rocker back an additional 1.82”s. You don’t have to but you can gain much more clearance doing so.what brand inner liner is that ?
If you don't rub, I wouldn't do it - but that's just my personal opinion. If you think you may regret it, I would just keep an eye out for used fenders and chop those, that way if you don't like it you could always put back your OEM fenders. So for those that are running any type of fender chop (Rugged Ridge, American Adventure Labs, Quake LED….) do you have any regrets? I have the Rugged Ridge kit w/ DRL that has been sitting in my garage for a couple months because of the whole point of no return once the cut is made. Currently I have the stock Rubicon Fenders with Artec Inner fenders and stock LEDs and have no Rubbing issues w/ my 37x13.5 Toyos MTs, so I really won’t be gaining anything but a look at this point. Interested to see what issues or regrets people have if any after doing the chop.
Yup. I been keeping an eye out for that exact reason. If you don't rub, I wouldn't do it - but that's just my personal opinion. If you think you may regret it, I would just keep an eye out for used fenders and chop those, that way if you don't like it you could always put back your OEM fenders.
This^^. This is not to offend anyone, but for some reason and from certain front angles, them chopped flares resembling a tweety bird to me.My two cents for what it's worth. I personally have never been a fan of fender chops. Not saying I don't like the look because I do. I say that solely because my JT came with the stock LED lighting group with the fender DRLs which was one of the main features I wanted right from the factory. I just can't see getting rid of a $2k+ factory upgrade for a fender chop (particularly for the only benefits being looks and maybe a smidge of extra clearance). Considering I doubt most all of not all chop kits don't compare to the quality or output of the oem led lighting group DRLs.
Besides, speaking of looks I'd argue that the full stock LED lighting group looks better anyways. Way better than any JT without IMO. I barely bat an eye on a Jeep without them.
Now if I had the crappy halogens to start with I'd maybe have a different opinion. But I just can't see paying extra for such a nice factory upgrade just to get rid of it for nearly nothing.
It's under the lighting submenu "LED FTrn". The instruction manual states that some aftermarket lights may require a resistor harness.I did the Motobilt Highline fenders and they have small dual led lights. I have the Taser also. When I first crank my JT the cluster says "Light Out". My turn signal indicators in the dash hyperflash but the turn signals themselves function perfectly.
What do I change with the Taser to fix these issues?
