No regrets with quake. The only gripe is that it’s supposed to not cause hyperflash with non led model jeeps like mine and it does so I need to buy a taser now to correct it.
you can also fix that with JSCAN which cost far less . I use both; TAZER for the live functions and JSCAN to permanently edit things like LED and Tire size

There are a few other options like AlfaOBD I have not used it but many here say good things about

what brand inner liner is that ?
These are the Motobilt High clearance inner fenders part number MB1243. They gain you 1.75”s of clearance in the upper rear corner and if you choose to you can cut the bottom by the rocker back an additional 1.82”s. You don’t have to but you can gain much more clearance doing so.

I was about to pull the pin on a fender chop then I saw Motobilt was running a 15% off sale so I went with the Highline fenders instead, I'm nervous about how it will look but dove in anyway.

I went with AAL simply because the Rugged ridge kit, my first choice, was on back order for to long and I eventually just canceled it and ordered from AAL. Took 3 weeks but they shipped asap and honestly really like them. I reused the stock fender liner and after going on a weekend trip and taking the freeways to work I haven’t had an issue with the liner popping out of place. I used a heat gun to shape them a bit and left enough material on the edge to tuck it under the fender light.

So for those that are running any type of fender chop (Rugged Ridge, American Adventure Labs, Quake LED….) do you have any regrets? I have the Rugged Ridge kit w/ DRL that has been sitting in my garage for a couple months because of the whole point of no return once the cut is made. Currently I have the stock Rubicon Fenders with Artec Inner fenders and stock LEDs and have no Rubbing issues w/ my 37x13.5 Toyos MTs, so I really won’t be gaining anything but a look at this point. Interested to see what issues or regrets people have if any after doing the chop.
If you don't rub, I wouldn't do it - but that's just my personal opinion. If you think you may regret it, I would just keep an eye out for used fenders and chop those, that way if you don't like it you could always put back your OEM fenders.

Yup. I been keeping an eye out for that exact reason.

My two cents for what it's worth. I personally have never been a fan of fender chops. Not saying I don't like the look because I do. I say that solely because my JT came with the stock LED lighting group with the fender DRLs which was one of the main features I wanted right from the factory. I just can't see getting rid of a $2k+ factory upgrade for a fender chop (particularly for the only benefits being looks and maybe a smidge of extra clearance). Considering I doubt most all of not all chop kits don't compare to the quality or output of the oem led lighting group DRLs.

Besides, speaking of looks I'd argue that the full stock LED lighting group looks better anyways. Way better than any JT without IMO. I barely bat an eye on a Jeep without them.

Now if I had the crappy halogens to start with I'd maybe have a different opinion. But I just can't see paying extra for such a nice factory upgrade just to get rid of it for nearly nothing.

This^^. This is not to offend anyone, but for some reason and from certain front angles, them chopped flares resembling a tweety bird to me.

When I went up to 38's, the tire, when slightly turned, would catch the front lip at full stuff. I had to add a bumpstop spacer to keep it from contacting. When I can find some shorty metal fenders I like, I'll get some, but for now I just went with the MetalCloak chop, so I can pull that bumpstop spacer back out.

I like the low profile look a lot. This is something i have been following for a while. Some of the kits i see post about here have had some significant issues. The manufacturer may honker the warranty but from what i have read (haven't in a while since i back burner'd the idea) adding the Lights cause so functionality issues and error lights in the cab, even with then system tazer'd. Like a high failure rate and malfunctioning LEDs.

I still love the look but just sketched out out about the quality of the components and the compatibility with onboard factory electric controls. Add the fact you are cutting parts you can't put back together again yo will be out the fenders plus paint match (if applicable) if the lights fail beyond warranty repair. then you are stuck buying new ones or new fenders.

I did the Motobilt Highline fenders and they have small dual led lights. I have the Taser also. When I first crank my JT the cluster says "Light Out". My turn signal indicators in the dash hyperflash but the turn signals themselves function perfectly.
What do I change with the Taser to fix these issues?

It's under the lighting submenu "LED FTrn". The instruction manual states that some aftermarket lights may require a resistor harness.
However, the MetalCloak kit's wiring harness has a small circuit board inline that allows it to interface with the factory harness. No programmer needed.
