never heard of these...wow...pretty dang cool.
I will be adding one or two of these along with a H3R fire extinguisher.
I have one of these in the netting in my driver door.
I canāt speak for @Hawkeyes3312 ās experience, and Iāve not used this, but what I like about it is that itās a 50 second fire extinguisher that is the size of a road flare. You can literally put it anywhere. Please explain.
Luckily, I've not had to use one yet. I liked the quality, size and price point. I've seen those in action...incredible.
I bought something similar at Walmart for about the same $$. Rated for auto/marine. Not very big and probably wouldnāt stop an engulfed engine bay from burning but figure itās better than nothing if you have a brake disc catch or get something sitting against the exhaust catch. This was like $25 from home depot. "Automotive or marine use for liquid, gas, and electrical fires."
I originally I mounted mine there (rear roll bar) but didnāt like it being out in the open when the top was off so I used a couple of tech screws to mount the holder that came with it to the plastic tray under the rear seat on the drivers side. I figure it may take an extra 1-1.5 seconds to open the back door and flip the seat up but it keeps it out of sight and out of the sun when the top is off yet still close enough to me when driving. Here is what I came up with:
