Having experience with replacing the motor on my 2021 (which was recently totaled by a druggie running a red light), I decided that it was in my best interest to be very aggressive with break in oil changes.

To be honest I'm surprised to see so much metal in this filter- and that's with using a magnet on the pan.

All those little white specks are metal.

Well good on you for changing it early. Im no expert but that looks mighty suspect. You've got a long way to go on your warranty so save pics, document your oil changes on your jeep app history, and roll on. Id probably change it again soon and check it out. That's a little scary. I havent seen anything like that in my 2 filters I've changed on my 2025.

The motor oil geek has a series of videos outlining his OCI on his new truck. Very interesting.

None of it was ferrous material, so that's some small relief. I'll definitely change it in another 1000 miles.

I think what you are seeing is pretty normal on a first oil change. Mine was similar and maybe a little worse. I did my first oil change at 2500.

I think you're ok. That is pretty much how my filter looked at it's first change at just under 800 miles. A subsequent filter looked much better.

A used oil analysis at 5k miles showed my engine was doing fine.

Don’t throw those out. Keep a running record.
