I have found a company in China that makes flatbed. Mostly for UTEs. I was wondering if anyone has heard of them.

Xuzhou Yutai Industry Co

Also was wondering if there are any other companies that make them and if anyone know what the dimensions would need to be.

these guys sell a DIY kit for everything but a jeep. Might be worth a call. There are 3d truck models used for production these guys could purchase and build a kit around.

I have purchased mine from long range American, it’s a South African brand named alublack. Very happy with it, had it for over a year, took it everywhere

Why would any red blooded American Jeep owner ever want chinese made stuff made out of chinesium? Especially when there are so many aftermarket and local metal shops here at home?
I can answer that...

Rebel flatbed - $9,500
Dirthouse flatbed - $14,500
Nuthouse flatbed - $13,000

Most items from China, half the cost of US prices.

Does quality sometimes suffer? It can, yes, but depending on the product they are the same thing as what US companies sell. More and more US companies are outsourcing to the same manufacturing facilities overseas and just paying for a rebrand. Theres literally catalogs of items with ala-cart options you can chose from, and most of these don't offer material upgrades like so many people think.

These flatbeds and canopies? Not always made in shop, instead they are ordered in bulk from overseas. They'll order two or three at a time at a fraction of what they charge, have them shipped over and sell them as their own brand at extremely inflated prices. Not sure if Rebel, Dirtbox, etc. do this, but it's not uncommon.

Not to mention the customer service and warranty of US companies needs help. I've dealt with this many times, US company wont return calls or refused to warranty an item, but a Chinese company not only responds, but follows up with you and often times just sends you a new product with little question. I reached out to numerous US RTT brands when shopping for a tent, only a few actually answered calls and emails, and of those few it was either short vague responses or took multiple days or weeks to respond. They all lost my business to Topoak, a chinese company who responded within hours even with a time zone difference, had a tent shipped to me faster than any US based company could, and at a far better price.

I'm all about supporting US companies, but if they don't seem to care about keeping my business I'll go elsewhere. It's my money.

Saw it last week in Moab, really nice!

Rebel Off-Road Makes one that is pretty dang neat. It’s got 3 or 4 different variations. I’ve seen 2 of them in person and they are absolutely sick.

They are extremely nice! I thought about getting one initially but the timeframe to get it did not align with the trip I had planned. Glad I didn’t because I actually enjoy the way my Alibaba enclosed bed rack looks. Quality of it is pretty great as well.

Did you realize the parts/items you buy from the peoples republic of china are manufactured under horrible non environmental friendly environments, but ten times worse is the fact all the $$$$$ goes to the communist regime, who owns all businesses in china! They use that money for their military industrial buildup and all types of corporate espionage and illegal copyright violations. I will go without that buy half price chinesium.

You sound like my step dad. He was a die hard "Made in USA is the only way!". He tried to show me his made in USA things, and I showed him how they indeed were not made in USA. Assembled maybe, but almost all components were sourced from overseas. He aslo has phone made in China, a computer made in China with chips and boards made in Tiawan, drove a truck that was built in Mexico, and bought almost everything exclusively through Amazon and Ebay. Unless you know for a fact all coponents are manufactured and work is done in house, you're still probably contributing to all the things you just mentioned by giving your money to US based businesses thats source their products from overseas. Sit on your high horse all you want, but the reality is we live on a planet that relies on a global economy.

As I said, I'm all about supporting US busineses, but I won't support businesses that are unresponsive or don't stand behind their word or their product, and I'll do my research to see if that product they offer at inflated pricing is just from a Chinese manufacturing facility catalog that i can get elsewhere for half the cost.

I am confused you want capitalism or want communism, the Chinese are just beating us at our own capitalist game that we like to put on a display and remind other how great it is. We pollute and treat worker just as bad, don't fool yourself.

An observation, if you will... a person signs up, lists their location as a very vague "US", their very first post references a foreign company that likely very few in this country have ever heard of, the wording of their post reads like it came out of an online translator, and they're looking for examples and dimensions for a product that the aforementioned company just so happens to be interested in making... and the company is based in China, which has a demonstrated willingness to blatantly copy the products of others. Of note as well is they've not logged back in since shortly after being fed a number of leads to existing products.

Nope, nothing fishy here.
