Good to know, (not the shooting your engine part) but I am about the bite the bullet 😉 and do a service on the old gal. spark plugs, coils, oil cooler swap, metal lower intake swap, I'll probably do a new valve cover gasket while I'm in the neighborhood. Afterall l'ts going on 119k miles and I know for a fact these are still the factory spark plugs in it.

I found this under my hood. We have come to an agreement. He lives, rent free, under the hood and I just accept it.

Oh, yeah, time for plugs.

I actually pulled one this past September and it was definitely worn clean down.

Somewhere there's got to be a large stash of used engine covers and intake foam barriers...........

HAHAHA - yeah, probably accurate,
but you haven't seen my garage.
I learned from my parents - and more recent years, Red Green - "I may find a use for that some day".

I learned to not throw away the OE stuff if I can help it. Usually it never goes back on, but it's nice to have spares for others if needed in a pinch. I junked my OE springs and control arms, but kept the front drive shaft just in case. It can sit in the shed out of the way taking up basically no space and be a Future Sweetums problem

I can always tell if a person is handy by looking at what they save, the more obscure the article, the more mechanically handy they seem to be!

We had a Ducati engine with a stripped and cracked oil drain plug we gave away to a friend. He plans to TIG the casing, re drill and tap it, then put the entire engine and transmission assembly in an off road go-kart.

Yes, a six-speed off road shifter kart with a Ducati engine.

Once it's done I will send you all an invitation to the funeral.
