Our friend couldn’t wait to get her jeep and start ducking people. We bought ours in October and duck every now and then and keep just a few special ones on the dash.
This person is all in lol.

My command submitted me for C.A.B. during a few of my deployments for multiple engagements. 03-04, 08-09 I declined them since I already have my C.I.B. during my last deployment it was submitted again by my command for multiple engagements. So I picked it up too (C.A.B) in 08, during that deployment I "bagged" numerous H.V.T's was told that I had been recommended for a bronze star then to get a ARCOM. ?
The 25 ID did take credit for them but since I was then a 31B3 with a messed up M.P. USAR unit I shouldn't expect much.
While most of the E-7's, all the E-8s and up were given them and a few SSG's that had multiple misconduct events during the deployment. It was really a kick in the nuts considering I had been recommended for bronze star with V device 2 twice during Desert Storm for different events but as a SPC 11B M-60 gunner. One of them events was why I didn't get my SGT too. but you can bet your a## that my PSG, 2 SQD leaders got them. Two of the SQD leaders in my platoon were the ones who recommended me for them. So with 7 different missions/ deployments to SWA I ended up with 5 AAM's, 2 ARCOMS and the salad bowl of you were here ribbons. Note to non Army the AAM isn't awarded for combat service even by regulation. I will say that when I was awarded my C.I.B. my uniform was stained with the reason I was awarded it... that was at close distance.
As I've posted on some other threads my filters are becoming less. And as I'm typing this out I was earlier enjoying some good Kentucky bourbon. Merry Christmas to all.
I hear you brother. I'm sure we could have a hoot discussing the jackassary

Yeah, some specific dates and things will lower my filters. Especially when it's a day that some one has some screwed up memories. Christmas, I was shot at I positively identified who did and due to situation I couldn't return the favor. As a rule I don't let people shoot at me and not suffer the consequences of it.

Then to be trying to get over the "crud" of congestion that good strong strait bourbon help clear it for a few hours. Otherwise trying to hack up a lung like a smoker that I'm not.

Much respect to those of you who served. I didn't but wanted to and couldn't but I don't regret it- it would have changed my trajectory. I'd have never met the woman I love and earned the scars I did otherwise.

As for ducks, it brings a smile, it isn't harmful, and Is silly. There are some that take it too far but it's all in good fun. Don't like it? Pass it along or toss it.
Hindsight, knowing what I know now I should have got out after my first tour and followed though with going into N.G. where that my father was in. Go to college and then back in as a officer.

On my 6th jeep. I have never purchased a duck would not put anything on anyones vehicle but I don't get mad if I find a duck on my jeep. It's never damaged anything and I've given some to my frenchie for chewing and found some in the garage the other day, sanitized them, and my grandson had fun with them at bath time. End of the day, it's a compliment, just smile.

New to the forum and just got my JT a couple weeks ago, it’s my second Jeep. My daughter drives a Jeep occasionally when her mom lets her drive hers. When she found out I got a JT she got very excited and said you have to jeep wave and duck now! I kind of blew it off not really thinking much of it… but that was the day I got it. I used to ride motorcycles and always waved.. there’s not really a standard for motorcycles but mine was always sort of an inverted jeep wave. I miss that a lot and wish I could still wave to them even when I’m driving. Well then I started driving the Jeep and all of a sudden people start waving at me. I have to say, it’s fun to have that back. I haven’t been ducked yet but I couldn’t see getting upset about it, I would probably just pass them on to another jeep. Unless my daughter saw it, then she’d make me stick it on the dash.

A few years ago, I was at the beach and was changing the oil in my wrangler. I drove my wife's rental car(a Toyota) to the store to get something. I was throwing up the wave out of habit and thought people may be unfriendly here. When I got to the store I realized I was driving a Prius. Oops

After my grandson totaled his 2011 Wrangler
in a single car accident on a rainy day
(he walked away without a scratch)
he "inherited" his grandma's old Yukon.
He said he missed the Jeep wave
and no longer being
part of the Jeep community.
Ducks weren't so much a thing back then.

I got ducked today, I’m not into it but I gotta hand it to them, I gotta laugh out of it. I probably got it because of my Military stickers on the back glass. I can‘t display it because I don’t want any key scratches from some nut job. 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

Have had my first jeep, '23 Mojave, for a little over 2 years now. Had heard of Jeeps and ducks before but had no idea what it was about. Typed in to Google "what the fuck is the deal with ducks and jeeps?" and then clicked on the" AI mode" ....... Pretty cool!

The hardcore anti ducking crowd seems insecure to me. If it gives someone joy, who cares. No harm done to you. Plus, every time I’ve seen someone duck my Jeep, or been there to receive one, it was super cute. A little kid and said kid’s parents. I see wild tangents about personal property like it hurts anything. Some people act like it’s the same as some 300 lb dude is dancing on your hood.
