Quick question,
My neighbor is selling his new Fox Shocks from his Rubicon ( he lifted his Rubicon and put bigger tires, etc..). I have a Jeep 2021 Gladiator HA edition. He is selling all four for $200. Are these ok to put on a HA or are they designed for the Rubicon suspension setup?
Thanks

It won’t hurt anything, but they’re a bit softer than what you’re used to. And if you’re going to do it, I’d do the springs as well. @Mightytalldude would be a great person to ask. He’s got a sport with rubicon springs and shocks on it, and has 50k+ miles like that to add weight to his opinion. Plus he’s smart.

The Rubicon shocks will fit cross models without issue. They're a little bit longer than stock, so that will help with extra articulation, letting the axle drop just a smidge further.

I’m genuinely asking, which is why I tagged you. Do you think it’s important to do springs as well, or would shocks alone work fine?

The shocks and springs are paired, so they technically work better together, the Sport and HA may have softer springs, and the Rubicon springs are slightly taller ride height under load than the other 2. Doubt anyone could tell the difference though.

I did gain an extra 3/4" -1" lift after the spring swap. Just make sure if putting in the springs that you verify via part number which is left and which is right, they are not the same, driver weight, gas tank, etc. all accounted for in placement.

Good call. That happens quite a bit.

I had Rubicon front springs and all 4 shocks on my 2020 Overland.,
Won't do again - just wasn't a big deal, wasn't any help and I found the rears more "bouncy". Those Rubicon Fox take-offs are still sitting in boxes in my loft unused as I decided it wasn't worth the effort to put on my 2022 Overland.
I let the dealer replace the fronts when they leaked, but put better shocks on the rear.

For the gassers, the higher numbered springs of a pair go on the right.
so if you have a front pair of springs that are a digit or two apart, the numerically higher goes on the right.

I got about 7/8" "lift" on the front of my 2020 Overland with the Rubicon front springs, however, I caution people that when they say "hey, I got a set of Rubicon springs! What will they do?"
I say - so there are at least 3 possible numbers and multiple combinations of Rubicon springs - so if you got the heavier Rubicon springs they will have a higher spring rate (and thus "lift" a bit higher) than the lighter Rubicon springs.
Rubicon springs is like saying "I saw a water fowl" - Goose, Duck or Swan?
Rubicon springs - which ones?

I ran them on my Sport S Max tow for a few years but found them to be very soft. Course now that I have the Fox 2.0 on and have driven with them for a bit am finding them maybe to be a bit to stiff making for a really herky jerky ride as my wife calls it (LOL)

I would vote to pass on them and put the money towards a set of Bilstein or Eibach shocks instead.
Eibach on the rear of my Overland now.
When the fronts go (again, and being replacement stock, they will) I will get them for the front

Maybe I missed it, what’s the problem/goal that the OP is trying to solve for? I ask b/c my wife’s HA rides really smooth on the blacktop, and she really likes her paint-matched everything ( so I don’t see a lot of aftermarket installs on hers ).. Is the OP trying to stiffen it up, lift it a smidge, increase beyond the max-tow. …?

I was asking a general question if it was worth changing to the new Fox Shocks that my neighbor removed on Rubicon. I love my HA, and it is stock and rides perfect. Just was wondering if getting the FOX shocks was worth it is all.
Thanks for asking
