Had anyone heard about this. Dealer states it needs to be replaced. Only thing not working is the auto start/stop. None warranty item. 2 yr old truck w/25800 mileage. $360 to replace. Already called Jeep Cares

I think they are talking about the fuse bar at the fuse box by the battery I think there’s a video on YouTube or google it and you will see what I am talking about

Think it's on the end of the fuse box. It's under the N1,N2, N2 and N4 posts.

That's a bus bar - not a link.
If that's bad, you lose the whole charging system. It's where the batteries and alternator come together and feed the whole vehicle.

Do they mean the N3 - because that handles charging to the aux battery only. Anything else would have a huge impact on the rest of the truck. The N3 is how the alternator connects to/charges the aux battery.
It's a dang fuse, not a 2 hour job.

The auto stop/start not working is not typically a symptom of a blown fuse on that fuse bar. Scroll through the information display until you get to the auto stop/start status screen, that should indicate why auto stop/start isn't working.

Otherwise charge the batteries and see if that fixes it.

Your 3/36K warranty should cover it unless they are claim some aftermarket accessory caused it to blow.

Also, it is pretty easy to change it yourself.

That was my thing I guess- at sub-$100 for the part, and they want over 300 - how long are they charging for? It's a simple fuse (ok, well, fuse array............)
Nuts, pull it out, reverse process.
Sounds like they were talking 2 hours labor. You can pull the whole PDC apart in less time.

I'd love to hear them explain how an accessory caused it to blow a segment/fuse.
The smallest fuse in that array is for the radiator fan - all others are well over 100 amps - 125, 150 and 300 amps.

Guys, @Hootbro, @ShadowsPapa, This thread is in need of a factory service manual. So after some searching here I discover there really aren't any. The USB manual that was linked in some earlier threads is no longer in stock. Alldata has a subscription service for a 2020 V6 Gladiator, but nothing more recent.

I had a fuseable link in my 1990 convertible and I could tell you exactly where it was and what it was wired to because I had a manual. Is it really as bleak as this? What do you use as a source for technical design and repair information?

By the way, if the fuseable link in my 1990 was open, then nothing at all would work, not just one subsystem like auto start.

Ok, finally got a good response from a service rep who knows he’s job. This Fuseable link is the main fuse of the battery. It’s a bar with holes in it that attaches to the battery and other components. It’s not covered. After they replaced a sensor the truck died during the test drive,Nothing work. (Off-road Wherehouse had installed on board air a few weeks ago.) the positive terminals was lose, causing a short, blew the fuse. They dealership did not disconnect the battery. ( the on board air was connected at the positive terminal, looks like off-road Wherehouse did not tighten that terminal. ) will going over there today to talk to them about this.
